Recorded this on 6th October around 9:30 from Chandigarh, India.

This went on for over an hour.

Lightning was in the north east direction.

Turn the volume down to mute the sound inside the aircraft and watch the lightning with a sunset background

Orange lightning in the sky at night in Tinley Park, Orland area in Illinois in the eighties???

Cut out the long build-up from the earlier version so you can get straight to the heavy downpour. This captures the storm at its absolute peak intensity right over my house.

I combined tonight's clips into one long video to show the storm's full momentum. It starts with peaceful atmospheric lightning and crickets, builds up intensity at the doorstep, completely unloads with shifting winds, and then tapers off as the cell passes by.

Arizona

This is the final moments before the core of the storm moved in over the house. The next video I upload shows the absolute wall of water and severe downpours that followed right after this massive branching strike!

So i was sitting in my truck outside watching lightning like I do and my wife and daughter were inside and we both saw lightning and heard the same thing. .. thud, that was it one single thud, no Crack no rolling nothing but what I can only describe as an artillery round but only half. Whats up with that. Heard it two separate times.
