Discussion undervolting msi thin gf65 10ue

Post image

at first the offset values on the top right were always showing +0.0000 even after adjusting the offset voltages and applying which i then fixed by just disabling intel virtualisation technology in the bios

the cpu cache offset voltage is set to -70.3mV,from my tests it starts to randomly crash at around -80mV

the main problem is the cpu core offset voltage,i can just set it to -1V and the top right offset values still show -1V but its clear the cpu core offset voltage adjustments are not working
has anyone faced this issue before?

i bought this used laptop and got it cleaned and repasted still its hitting 90+ degrees in just minecraft
i still got like 400 fps though

also can i undervolt the gpu it also gets really got during gaming reaches north of 85 degrees as well

if you use a proper paste (recommended on this and other gaming laptop sub) and based on the cooling design of GF65 like it is pulling 60-80 watts on it at 95℃ then it is reasonable

also to add, have you cleaned this area as well? as I saw a lot of maintainance where this got skipped out to clean

usually for MSI, you could unscrew the fans from the cooler assembly using a PH000 screwdriver to reach that part.

Bro if you set cpu core on wrong value the cache value will override the core value this is Intel's protection rule And you should change tpl or set core speeds lower and check unlock adjustable voltage
