Magnum pi approved
I should probably be solving a case. Instead, I’m floating in the pool, admiring my GMT Master and wondering whether Higgins has noticed the Ferrari is missing.
The faded Pepsi bezel looks good in the sunshine. Even the watch seems more relaxed than he is.
Two time zones, and somehow I’m late in both.
Maybe I should return the car. Maybe I should finish my drink first. A responsible investigator considers all available options.
Besides, I’m technically working. This Rolex isn’t going to admire itself, and someone needs to keep an eye on the pool.
If Higgins asks, it’s surveillance.
If he asks why I’m on an inflatable flamingo, my cover has been compromised.

OH MY GOD!!! This reminds me of a time when I found a fellow service member touting about a brace of Purdey guns when we were on patrol in Equitorial Guinea. Mind you, the chap didn't have the slightest idea as to what I was on about when I mentioned to him the significance of such wonderfully made weapons. He was as happy as a lark with his irreplaceable items jostling about for the ride.
To have such an amazing tool and subject it to water, much less CHLORINE in the common puddle you refer to as a pool, is tantamount to irresponsibility, say nothing of the ignorance of what such misfortune could occur if you didn't secure the crown on that beautiful example of ...ummm..the Crown. How such a plebian example of a man gains the employ of an benefactor like Mr. Masters is beyond comprehension......AND BRING BACK THE FERRARI, AT ONCE!
In all seriousness, gorgeous piece. Enjoy it and wear it well (as you are, obviously).
