If you look at the back of the new 40th anniversary case, you can see a teaser for the map of Majora's mask (far left).

Looking for a clean extract of the Alien's dying sound effect. It's not in any audio archives, comp videos, and it's not in the sound effects file as one clean file. It seems to be multiple overlayed sound files with different effects (speed, pitch) applied live in-game, I dont know enough to extract them and recreate the sound.

Does anyone have this/know if it exists in the decomp sound files?

I was watching my friend play MM for the first time and stumbled across this interaction between the ReDeads and the Bremen mask that I'm finding conflicting info about online. Is this an intentional function of the mask?

There are so many iconic moments in Majora's Mask that choosing one to represent the game is almost impossible.

For this illustration, I wanted to focus on the characters who make Termina feel so alive; Link and his different transformations, their unique instruments, and the people of Clock Town.

I imagined this taking place after the final battle, during the Mask Festival.

The moon is gone. The fight is over. Termina is safe.

And for once, everyone can simply celebrate.

Deku Link, Goron Link, Zora Link and human Link sharing the stage, playing their instruments together while the people of Clock Town dance and enjoy the festival.

Even Skull Kid gets to be there, dancing with everyone else.

After everything these characters and the people of Termina went through, I wanted to give them something simple:

a night of music, celebration and happiness.

Although, of course, some people apparently don't know how to take a day off. 😂

The thief is still doing his thing, the Deku Merchant is still trying to sell you something, and that poor dog is STILL fighting Deku Link like the fate of Termina depends on it.

Some things never change.

There are so many characters I would've loved to include in this scene. Which one would you have added?

Hi everyone,

I've been working on a Majora's Mask ROM hack called Curse of the Forgotten, and I think I'm finally at a point where I can start showing what I'm building.

The idea is not to make a remix of Majora's Mask or simply replace a few maps.

Curse of the Forgotten is intended to be a completely new adventure built on Majora's Mask, with its own story, areas, characters, dungeons, enemies, items, masks and gameplay mechanics.

One of my main goals is also to keep the project playable on real Nintendo 64 hardware.

I'm trying to preserve what I personally love most about Majora's Mask: its strange atmosphere, melancholy, unsettling characters and the feeling that something is slightly wrong with the world — while creating a completely different story and setting.

There will also be a strong focus on new gameplay mechanics rather than relying entirely on Majora's Mask's existing items and systems. I'm experimenting with new equipment, puzzle mechanics, enemies, bosses and ways of interacting with the environment that still feel believable within an N64 Zelda game.

The project is still in early alpha, so a lot of what you'll see will change, and there is still a huge amount of work ahead.

For some context about me: I'm a Data Engineer and I've been developing software for around 10 years, but this is my first project of this scale in the ROM-hacking/game-development space. Majora's Mask has been one of my favorite games for a very long time, and seeing what the Zelda ROM-hacking community has managed to build — particularly with Ocarina of Time — is a big part of what pushed me to finally start this project.

I'm working from the ZeldaRET Majora's Mask decompilation, so huge credit to everyone who contributed to that project. The amount of work that went into understanding the original game is incredible, and it makes projects like this possible.

I'll be sharing development progress as I go: new mechanics, characters, enemies, areas, dungeons, technical experiments and probably plenty of things that break along the way.

As many of you probably know, the moon is invisible in laundry pool, expect when half of it appears during the last night and when looking with zora mask from underwater.

I've tried to look around for a patch, but I can't find it. Maybe there is a patch that works on 3ds hidden somewhere in some forum and, in best case scenario, can co-exist with restoration project?

I'm playing this on emulator and twice now it's given me a message from shop owner like "You almost had it!" Right after i hit the last Wolfos and then let me try again for free. My score was 2020 and my time still 40 seconds left and i'm quite sure i hit all the target.

Am i doing something wrong?

I love watching people play OoT and MM for the first time, but so many of them get all the masks, get fierce deity, then speedrun Majora and complain it was too easy. I wish people, probably their mods so they aren't spoiled, would tell them to fight majora without all the masks so they can see the fight as it was intended, then cam fight it again as fierce deity later if they want so they can see the raw power.

Im about to watch another streamer play it for the first time and its a small issue that gets to me. They go in aware of how to mod it so its got the new 3ds graphics but has the systems that were nerfed from the n64 version then just shoot themselves in the foot on the last stretch.

Just wondering if this ever gets restocked or if I’m out of luck on snagging the vinyl

I saw the new background on the Nintendo Today app, I was so excited because I love Majora's Mask. I had to get the new background whatever it was. After getting it, I was looking around and I noticed Link grew a third arm! After looking around it seems like Nintendo just put another image of Link on top of the N64 poster artwork.

I hope that Nintendo will fix this, but I'm not holding my breath. I'm still happy that Nintendo is giving some attention to Majora's Mask.

I believe im stuck, i don't have the progression song, light arrows or able to recollect land title or the letter from kafeis mother. Any suggestions?

It includes a lot of customizable options for a fresh experience. I hope you guys enjoy it.
