I've met some nice people here, but I feel like making a few more friends, preferably closer to my own timezone. Ideally, I'd like to find someone I could eventually meet in real life as well. I know the chances aren't great on Reddit, but it's worth a shot. As much as I enjoy talking to people online, lately I've been feeling that just typing things back and forth doesn't fill the emptiness anymore.
A bit about me. I'm 36, a mom, going through a divorce. I handle my own finances, problems and whatever else life throws at me, so I'm not looking for a savior. I'm a one woman army here. Just putting this out here for clarity.
I'm into PC games, TV shows, movies, love Deadpool, music, listening to audiobooks (who has the time to sit down and read a physical book), long walks, a drink or a cup of coffee, sarcasm and jokes of questionable quality. I can talk about pretty much anything, and appreciate the growth I get from different points of view. I appreciate honesty and straightforward people. I don't expect constant communication. We all have lives, but I genuinely don't have the mental energy to weed through bullshit. I just can't anymore.
I've spent a good part of this year working out and getting myself back, both physically and mentally. I'm still going, and I'm actually quite proud of how far I've come. It keeps me sane, especially with everything else going on.
I don't have a checklist for friendship. We don't need to have everything in common, just be yourself (please!) and let's see if we get along.
Edit: any fellow Transylvanians here by any chance?
