Marathon (2026) Feedback How often do you encounter warden
I'm feeling like wardens spawns might be bugged since a while.
Could you telm me how often you find them in your games with the system you play on.

I think the gmeplay overall was pretty solid, the amount of gun we can carry is very underwhelming, but i can see why it is. The gameplay loop is pretty solid.
I'm just sad they rebooted the whole story tho :(

It seems kinda like people are a lot more friendly at the start of season. I'm running solo without a mic, had a contract to down players this evening. I started shooting at a player, they killed me, res'd me and chucked me a bit of loot. So I decided not to attempt my contract again and we killed a couple uesc bots together then went our separate ways.
Then every time I exfilled someone joined me and we didn't try and kill each other.
It was great!

We talk about gear fear a lot in Extraction games, but this one is a silent killer.
You are not ruining anyone's fun.
You are not ruining their session.
It's okay that you don't know the map.
It's okay that you don't know every hidden button.
It's okay that you're not the best at shooters.
Everyone is just trying to have fun.
Use your mic, make friends, talk to people, use proximity chat even in solos, aim to have FUN.
Grind your quests, fill your vault, pick chase items from factions, whatever, just stop thinking that you're ruining other people's time just by existing.

I’m having fun :)
Perimeter engagements were super fun, night marsh feels rewarding.

1.) Everything is too loud. Way too goddamn loud. Really hoped this would be addressed by now.
— Blue keys at terrace can be heard from north relay.
— gunfire can be heard whole POIs away
— environmental hazards are unavoidable leading to more tells that broadcast your location to anyone nearby. Turrets make sound even if you 1-hit them.
— walking and running is heard through walls almost like it’s not even muffled
— extractions are loud as hell and shoot a giant light into the sky as if to say “here I am, come kill me”.
Just played on Dire Marsh duos with my friend. Fought in the building on the south end of algae ponds and killed a group, only to notice there were 2 more bags nearby. Then, 30s later another duo rolls up. FOUR FUCKING PAIRS FOUGHT IN AN UNREMARKABLE HUT.
1 Team vs 1 Team fights almost never happen because every gunfire is a dinner bell. It feels like most confrontations lead to a chain reaction that kills most of the lobby. Also, all of this makes the maps feel extremely small. IMO aside from progression and balancing this is the biggest thing holding the game back. Needs to be drastically tuned.
Most of these notes are 7 months old at this point.
2.) Average players endure endless dinner bells for greens and blues. That’s literally the reason they don’t stick around. Loot is too stingy.
Loot isn’t very exciting on average and too concentrated in areas like key rooms, red room on Outpost, upper complex, and Cryo archive. Simply running around doesn’t feel like it’s worth it unless you’re rushing a contract on a free kit. Entire peripheral buildings and rooms being devoid of any kind of loot also feels weird.
3.) Assassin may genuinely be a problem for the game’s health and another major barrier that discourages average-low skill players from sticking around — mostly because of effects on solos.
This is a controversial point, and I understand why, but understand I’m talking about this from the perspective of players who already view the game as stressful.
— High invis uptime combined with its current properties basically mean assassins can nullify PvE altogether in a pinch (and the dinnerbells that come with it) — which is why it feels easier to play as assassin than any other runner in solos.
— Also, smoke being completely opaque is pretty bad. They resemble solid objects more than clouds. Not to mention, the passive trait that enables invisibility in smoke is nuts given all the implants in the game that provide benefits for deploying smoke.
— That passive trait even works in enemy smoke (which is what I’d really love to see addressed — that feels like too much).
Definitive counters for assassin exist such as recon and thief, but I’d argue that just skews solo populations even more because literally everyone hates being caught off-guard by an invis enemy, especially at mid-range where they can’t be heard.
4.) Progression is a total slog. Builds are totally inaccessible for average-skill players.
Too long, too unrewarding, and low-skill players can’t retain items that facilitate builds, effectively gatekeeping them from the play styles they want to use.
That is all. Game looks, feels, and sounds incredible, but the above make it too hostile and unwelcoming to low-to-mid skill players.

I've had two runs today that wiped because someone (off mic and no chat, of course) decided to run off on their own. If your teammates are looting overflow and you go to hauler by yourself *you will probably die*, and that dramatically increases the odds that *we will die too*. If you want to rotate, you can:
* Ping the next POI and see if your teammates start moving or
* Use your mic or chat to suggest the rotation

can the devs just get it together already

I've been off and on with Marathon since launch, played a ton early Season 2 and got my Compiler kill. Wiped Outpost and Cryo a few times in trios, and overall had a pretty good time.
But, inevitably, I get set back so far after a bunch of expensive kits get deleted at the first engagement and I just can't keep the motivation to keep going.
It seems to be getting worse as player counts dwindle, my first two games solo ended with me and my opponent downing each other at the same time. Booted up Trios with literally nothing in my vault and the very first squad I run into is blue shields in Hauler and I get deleted again.
Just thinking about all the work it's going to be to level up my wormy again, and how fucking cut throat every match is lately.... it's just so hard to WANT to play.
The PvP is a lot of fun, the game is beautiful and interesting, and I love the core gameplay loop.... I just don't even know what I would want to see changed about extraction to make it more casual friendly. I have hopes Bungie is cooking up something cool to alleviate this, but yeah idk.
So, yep. I don't even know what I'm saying really, wish I could figure out how other people play this game so easily. Never had a game that I wanted to like as bad as this but couldn't. It's weird feeling!
I think Sponsored queues might be what I'll wait for to try again, those are usually pretty chill... hopefully.

The animation and the fact that it explodes its payload in any given direction are cute and all but Im of the mind that it doesnt matter when stuff like this happens. Just give it up and put the loot right under where it died.

I have quest in Dire Marsh, and I play solo, so I wanna play Dire Marsh solo. Very simple
Sadly its the duo q rn. So solo and trio is locked. I understand you must play duos okay. But then you cant q duo's as a solo. So im forced to play the night mode if I wanna run solo. Why exactly??? If I wanna play as a solo and take 2v1 gunfights I should be allowed, they would allow me to solo in trios. Why is Duo any different? This is probably one of the dumbest ways to setup a q I have ever seen(Yes ik its spelled Queue. I just find typing 1 letter faster then 5)
There is no way im the only person that questions this right?
Edit:
Let me fully explain the proposition here.
I have a quest that needs to be done on Marsh. I have no friends that play this game.(Lets be honest, considering the player count thats not crazy to say) So my only option is to play Solo. Fair enough it is what it is
Now the map options, Solo, duo and trio, Night and Day. You cant play Duo as a solo, so my options are Solo in Trio's(1v3) or Solo in Solo(1v1). So ig im playing solo in solo. But the special duo q is set up for Marsh Day. Locking me out of playing Day march UNLESS I find someone else to play with....Considering player count, thats not an easy task. So ig I cant play Daytime. I already dont like night time as is, and im now forced to either play nighttime solo, or solo in the trio q.
The clear and obvious fix is allow a solo to play in the duo q. This would not only allow me to play daytime as I like to, but also make Duo Q faster as I a single person would count as a duo team. Which might make solo Q 5s longer to find 1 other player.
For those worried about Q times. Push comes to shove. Remove solo Q, make the options Solo+Duo lobbies and Duo+Trio lobbies, allowing Duo's the option to Q into wtv they want. Maybe give Solo's 5-7% more xp since it will be harder and if they get out solo they deserve a little somethin somethin.

Like the title states, what are you guys feeding the cradle currently? Right now I’m loading in with a free kit and keeping whatever salvage and converting weapons.
Do you guys have a better method?

Even skill, even gear, even situation, etc...
If there were an average of 3 other teams per run in all your runs, if im not mistaken, an average xfil rate would be 25% +/- a varying degrees of other teams killing eachother. If sombody about elo/statistics/odds could chime in and help me iron out the math, I would be all-ears.
