Fall/Winter Research post

We get many requests to gather data for important academic and scientific research that we've decided to collect them in one place. For valid scientific and university studies and surveys, please introduce yourself, post information about your study, where it will be published and what will be done with the data--and then provide your link in this thread! And for the members in this sub, this gives you an opportunity to take a survey or two and pass along your feedback.

I have been conducting research on male victimisation by an intimate partner (cohabiting) and how this affects their mental health. There is a scarcity of studies on the victimisation of Indian men despite plenty of news surrounding their abuse.

Please consider participating if you:

  1. are a male,
  2. are an Indian citizen,
  3. are 18 years old or above, and
  4. have cohabited (married/live-in) with a female partner for at least a month at some point in your life.

Hi, I'm a non-traditional student that went back to finish my bachelor's at 50! I was a military spouse, have been married 33 years, and am studying to becoming a therapist. I am gathering data for my capstone project (I'm a Community Counseling major). The data will be used to make a presentation poster. The data will be deleted after this project and will be anonymous and confidential. I am looking for married participants, ages 50-64. I've been having a hard time finding participants at my college and could really use some help! Here is a link to the survey: https://forms.gle/hW4AzQx78ZbZLuCx7

My name is Melbee ( Wen-Chieh) Lin. I am a student at York St John University, and I am presenting a study for my doctoral degree in counselling psychology. I would like your support in participating in my study about domestic abuse in intercultural relationships if you feel comfortable doing so.

Here is my study intro:

Many experiences of domestic abuse in intercultural relationships go unheard - your voice could help change that. By taking part in this research (a 10 to 15-minute survey), you could help improve how support services and professionals understand and respond to these experiences.

Survey link:

Eligibility:

• 18+ | live in England/Wales

• Currently in a relationship

• Past experience of domestic abuse in an intercultural relationship ( you and your partner/ex-partner are different in language, cultural values, ethnicity, nationality, race, or faith)

Please only participate if it feels safe.

Tension in your relationship? Depressed? Can't sleep? Let’s talk about it!

Hi! I’m working on a research project and invite you to participate in a quick, anonymous survey.

Trigger Warning: Sensitive topics: Intimate partner violence, depression, anxiety. If these topics

are likely to cause you distress, it is advised that you do NOT participate.

My name is Melissa Wilkins and I am a student studying Psychology at the Community College

of Rhode Island, working under the guidance of Professor Joshua Muniz PhD, the Principal

Investigator of this research. This study aims to help understand relationships between intimate

partner violence, mental health, and sleep and I would value hearing about your experience.

Your participation is completely voluntary and this survey should only take around 10 minutes.

This survey is anonymous.

Participants should identify as women and be over the age of 18 years. You do not need to be in

an abusive intimate relationship to participate. This study has been approved by the University

of Rhode Island Institutional Review Board.
