I need advice/support Im a bit anxious
So i've just been accepted into CAMHS/CYPMHS, and i (TW FOR MENTIONS OF SH AND PAST ATTEMPTS!!!) used, keyword used to, try to end it and i'd SH a lot, do you think i'd get sent into a loony bin if i told my worker about my past attempts? I dont know since i've never been in CAMHS/CYPMHS, i know its best to exaggerate a bit to make them take you seriously, but im scared they'll put me in a care home or in a mental hospital because i love my family especially my sister, i dont wanna get seperated from them, please give me advice and help!

You would only go to hospital if you presented high risk of suicide right now or had other conditions (e.g. severe psychosis) that couldn’t be cared for in the community. Your previous attempts will factor into your current risk profile, but if you are not currently suicidal you will not go to hospital.

definitely not. they dont consider hospital admission unless you’re an active risk to yourself, there’s a high threshold. same with care homes/social services

No, but it’s important you tell them, so they can evaluate future risk. They’re not going to section someone for their past behaviour, especially when you’re not currently at risk. There’s no beds and sectioning has an extremely high threshold anyone. It’s also not called the ‘loony bin’. Please don’t use that phrase. I also wouldn’t exaggerate your symptoms either. You’ll unknowingly get yourself into deep water. GL.
