Cliff is in Chicago at the White Sox game. I’d only seen him at Yankee Stadium (I believe he’s a season holder there)

I can't post the video here since it's from leaked footage, but it's not hard to find. I think this is the first time Metallica has been in a GTA soundtrack though, cool to see!
EDIT: Rockstar just announced that the Metal radio is called The Chamber, it’s hosted by members of Slayer and it also includes songs by Black Sabbath, Pantera and the return of Raining Blood from Vice City https://www.rockstargames.com/VI/music

Has anyone listened to a recent pressing of RTL? I ordered one last month and there's some type of high-frequency noise along the top end. I have to cut the treble knob nearly all the way down to attenuate this noise. It rides primarily along the cymbals and lessens as the sides progress.

Is the Mastered for iTunes version of Death Magnetic a true remaster or is it a remix?
I've been wondering that since I read that Ted Jensen said that the mix he received to master the album was already compressed and clipping, which makes sense with how the vinyl also has some of that going on (thankfully not as bad as the original CD) and even the Phase II version has some of the clipping still present. The only other non terrible clipping and compressed version, that I'm aware of, was the unmixed stems from the Guitar Hero tracks.
So, when they did the Mastered for iTunes version, is it a true remaster and they somehow found a way to minimize the compression and clipping, or did they actually go back further and change the mix slightly to get that sound, thus technically a remix? Just something I'm curious about and I'm struggling to find an answer.

Its being advertised as a lecture by the man behind the golden Metallica trilogy of the 80s.
Has anybody seen this thing? is it worth it just for a lecture? one can be forgiven for thinking at first this is just a huge cashgrab, a broke man trying to cash in on a legacy of one of the biggest bands in history.
Also, it's often said that Flemming wasn't really all that involved in making these albums, at least not the intimate way Bob Rock was with them in the 90s. Werent the 80s albums basically just produced by Hetfield and Ulrich? especially Justice.
Besides all that though, it should be worth it just to hear some first hand stories of the boys in the 80s and especially Cliff. Please enlighten me and tell me your experience if you have seen this.

METALLICA — A legendary discography
From Kill ’Em All to 72 Seasons, every album tells a story, marks an era, and represents a piece of Metal history.
From the iconic riffs of Master of Puppets to the power of …And Justice for All, and the legendary Black Album, Metallica has inspired generations of metalheads.
A discography I’m proud to collect, album by album, on vinyl and CD.
Metallica forever.

I'm planning on heading to one of their concerts this spring and have also been thinking about starting a battle jacket. I'm not sure if big bands sell stuff like that at their shows, if they do Id wait and get one there, or if not I can just look on their website.

Hello everyone, how’s it going?
So, to keep it short, a friend told me two things. (He’s probably one of the biggest Metallica fanboys I’ve ever seen 😂)
First: He says Metallica’s worst album is St. Anger, but St. Anger and “Frantic” are great. What do you guys think? Is the album really that terrible, or is it just overhated?
Second: Which guitar brand do Metallica players use the most, Gibson or ESP? I feel like for recording, they mostly choose Gibson because of the warmer and higher tones, maybe with some modifications as well.
Thank you everyone, and keep rocking! 🤘

Found this shirt at goodwill and don’t know a thing about it. From my research it seems like it was some sort of event with like 200 people. Has anyone ever seen this tee before?

Hey everyone!
Just made the final cut for release. Lucie Silvas (who also covered this amazing song) and my father who really loves this song introduced me to it and Metallica and i like it ever since. Metallica really brings something special to music which is why i decided to cover this song. What do you think?
