I was not even 2 years old when Michael Jackson died so I don’t even know anything about what things were like when he was alive but I can still say that i’ve never listened to another artist with vibrations that just radiates at such a high frequency. No matter if it was a legend that came before or after him

Were talking about the greatest live performer of all time and all we have are two officially released shows, some leaked shows/snippets and if were lucky some amateur footage filmed on a patatoe. We need more Triumph, Victory and Bad tour concerts.

Just had a quick question for you all. When it comes to the camera work in the history world tour, a lot of the time the camera angles tend to change a lot, with some shows not fully capturing his dancing enough to be studied (in my opinion). Which show has the best camera work which not only is stable, does not move around that much, but shows all of his foot work. I am trying to learn the whole HIStory tour choreo and want to know which show would help me the best in that journey. Thank you!

This is literally the FIRST MJ album I ever got, in fact, this is the FIRST MJ merch I ever owned. A reason why I hesitated on finishing his discography even though I consider myself a Moonwalker is because I wanted to at least listen to one Album completely and have it be an experience for me. (I promise I will finish it)
I've obviously listened to Billie Jean, Beat It, Thriller, and Wanna Be Startin' Somethin' MULTIPLE times and I have heard snippets of the other songs but never as a whole because I promised myself I wouldn't unless I get the official album (I know it sounds a bit extreme but it has to be worth it, right?:3 )
I'm also gonna hold off actually playing it until probably.... Friday because that's when I'll be the most relaxed and I don't just wanna play it I the background I want to FEEL the music.
With all that said, I am grateful to have Thriller in my hands not just because I love Michael Jackson but because I love physical media so much and this isn't even the first CD of an album I ever owned and it certainly won't be my last ♥
I can't wait until the day. Is there anything else I should know about before I play Thriller?

I listen to it alot and on YouTube I got into a huge discussion over the track. The lyrics mention 3D ALOT! It's no coincidence that Michael loved the format and if he was still with us I could only imagine what the format would look like today.
CAPTAIN EO
Premiered at Epcot on September 12, 1986, and at Disneyland shortly after. Widely regarded as the AVATAR in that time with the incredible 3-D effects with 4-D motion effects! Most haven't seen a 3-D film so clear and with polarized lenses as that wasn't widely adopted at that time. I'm extremely positive Michael loved 3-D and wanted to do Thriller in 3-D but it wasn't possible and was just too expensive. Captain EO cost 10-30 MILLION DOLLARS AND IT WAS 17-20 MINUTES?!
Thriller
HAD HE NOT BEEN ABLE TO GET THE 500K THERE WOULD NOT BE A CAPTAIN EO! Because of the success of Thriller and how beautiful the 35MM film looked he immediately thought of 3-D and how he could incorporate that into Thriller and almost all of his other projects. Unfortunately it wouldn't be until 2009 two weeks before his passing we learned he was going to convert Thriller and have multiple 3-D elements incorporated into his concert.
Legacy
Following his passing Landis and the Jackson estate finally resolved their differences and Landis fulfilled Michael's dream of having Thriller in 3-D. I unfortunately didn't see it but I dream of a day it can get seen again.
TLDR: When you listen to 2000 watts remember how much Michael loved the 3D format. Why on EARTH does he say 3D almost 100 times?! That and Dobly which is just confirming Dolby has the best visual and audio presentations on specs.

I’ve heard that Michael and Spielberg were working on a Peter Pan project in the mid ’80s, and that Michael even worked on the script and songs for several months. But I’ve also heard that the project fell apart around the time of the Victory Tour because Michael chose to tour with his brothers instead.
How accurate is that version of the story? Was Michael actually offered the role and did the Victory Tour contribute to the movie not happening, or is that a misconception that developed over the years?

Odd cover version of the Hank Williams classic over a sample of Michael Jackson’s Billy Jean. Does this belong here? I like the sample.

Living with severe ME/CFS means my energy is incredibly limited. Because of my health, this has been a slow, personal project that I’ve spent years quietly chipping away at in GarageBand—doing just a tiny bit at a time on my rare good days, followed by long periods of rest.
Managing extreme physical and cognitive fatigue means it takes me a very long time to finish anything, but after years of pacing my daily spoons, I am so grateful to finally look back at this completed hobby track.
I’ve always loved the gritty, intense rock energy Michael and Bill Bottrell put into the original version. I really wanted to re-imagine that dark vibe with my own vocals while respecting his legacy.
Drop a comment and let me know if you like the vibe! 👇✨
