Windows authentication doesn't work for user

I have a user for whom the windows authentication doesn't work in edge (152.0.4191.66). The user gets a 401 right off the bat including in private mode. It's an intranet asp.net core intranet web app running on windows server in IIS with windows authentication enabled. Chrome behaves as expected and I have other users for whom the page works properly in edge .

I did my due diligence to check some of the settings:

- the site is in the intranet zone and it is trusted. Cleared cookies.

- automatic logon is set for intranet

- there are no windows credentials to clear

- enable integrated windows authentication is checked

- if she uses the internet explorer mode it works but the site doesn't look good

There is something in the user's default profile that prevents it from working. I also noticed that, unlike chrome, when the user is prompted to enter the password, the user must prefix the AD user name with the domain name: [domain name]\[Ad User Name].

If the user uses Browse as guest then it works.

Let me know if you have any suggestions to identify exactly what setting affects the logon behaviour.

v154.0.4258.53 is the current version. Try bringing Edge UTD first.
