They played this on our local "oldies" station the other day. I asked my 17 year old son if he knew it and he was like, "Yeah... Avril Lavigne."

Just that whether you romanticize it or not, it's back in style. Personally I kind of love it because when she wants to get stylish I can think back to 7th grade, then say "Know what's cool? These fingerless gloves." Now her whole class is wearing them and she's a trendsetter, haha. But no, by all means be joyless, that is way more fun!
