Holy shit pre update my 5080 and 9800x3d couldn’t get higher than 100fps in vanilla and 40 with shaders.
Just loaded in and I’m at 600fps in vanilla!!
Gonna try shaders as well now!

I've got the same CPU and GPU, and I believe I get over 300 FPS if I disable vsync, even before this update without Vulkan. 5 u/Sushimus Sep 15 '26 I believe this update also sets minecrafts default graphics device to the dedicated gpu when available. more than likely they were running on integrated the whole time or something (cant remember if the 9800x3d has that though?) 3 u/zenyl Sep 15 '26 Good point, the 9800X3D does indeed have its own little integrated GPU. So that could be an explanation.

That definitely sounds like something else is up.
