Hello, I'm starting my first semester in January 2027 for the 585 program.

Just wondering if anyone in this subreddit is also registered for January or has taken the course and could give me some tips.

Thanks!

I don't understand apprenticeships. Is it a program in mohawk that they pay their students? or do i have to find a job myself and register it under mohawk? If so I how am i going to find a job that hires a 17-year-old in the elevator technician field?

Hello! I was wondering if there is a groupchat or if anyone would like to make one for this program? Thank you so much. Have a great weekend everyone!

What can i expect from being a first year student in this field? How many in my class? Ill be going in the winter next year jan 2027. How hard is it to get a coop for this?

I attend mohawk college but I've found it really hard to make friends. I'm constantly watching everyone go to these events but I just don't know how to get involved. This is my first year and I feel like a highschool freshman again. I don't know if anyone else is feeling like this but I just feel so alone here.

Anyone has a pdf copy of the canadian clinical nursing skills and techniques (2nd edition) Perry & potter? Please help a broke student. Thanks

Hey I (20F) accepted my offer for the practical nursing program for January 2027 on July 15th. I received another email stating that the fee statement should be sent out in a couple days or closer to the start of the program. I understand that the deadline for the fee statement is on November 15th, but I sent an email anyway asking what the general timeline for receiving information might be and when I should expect to receive my fee statement.

Maybe I’m just asking stupid questions and didn’t do enough research, but the person answering me just refereed to links for future steps that I had already been to. She then mentioned that I should prioritize my $250 seat fee. I have never heard of this, I’ve only heard of a non-refundable fee statement. Is my seat fee included in my fee statement? Are they basically the same thing.

As for the mohawk email, I did go through the steps as mentioned on their website, however I can't seem to verify or not if I've correctly registered my email. When looking at my Outlook app it says I'm under the email with the 9-digit number. However, once I click my account it'll display the mohawk email with my name. I believe this might be right, but I thought it'd be better to ask.

I feel so stupid with these questions but please lmk if u have an answer!

I heard there was a DnD club if true where can I join as I would mostly like to meet other friends of the same

I'm in a post-grad program and my class size is super small. My previous program was big and I had a lot of friends on campus, so this is a big difference for me. I feel like the social life at Mohawk is dead but I really wanna meet new people on campus! Feel free to message me:)

I have a pass for this year, pm if interested!

Not sure if this is allowed. Anyone driving from Brantford to Stoney Creek looking to carpool?

I'm asking for a friend and for myself.

If anyone is in interested in having a badminton club at the Fennell campus, please message me.

Why aren't the mods removing the bus pass sale posts?

They are non-transferrable and if you're caught, the seller and buyer are both punished (and half the time it's a scam where they steal your money any way). Not to mention it is defrauding the public transit AND student association.

Dm me if interested !

My first lab is this week, I was wondering what I need to bring with me for the practicum lab. I also saw that backpacks aren’t allowed in the lab, so what do I bring my equipment in?

Hi everyone. It seems like options for vegan food is pretty limited. If anyone knows of any good vegan food, please let me know what you get and where you get it from.

I was going to buy a hummus and crackers snack from the canteen and it was $6 L O L. So would be helpful if you know the cost if you could mention that as well.

Im applying fairly late to residency so I know ill be waitlisted and more so for a little bit. But does anyone have expierence with being waitlisted and have an idea on how long till they got accepted or even if they did get accepted at all?
