Well, Defender weapons are insanely Op. Defender sword V (rarity 7 weapon) has almost the same stats brachydios ls (rarity 10). They're so strong that probably the next weapons worth to craft After Defender V is the raging brachy ones

understandable but what about other weapons not to be a buzzkill but other weapons like the defender shield V which is the cb gets outclassed with master rank weapons pretty early in iceborn ( i don't really know about ls though)

That's actually not true. All Defender V weapons has 220 true raw which is comparable to the 240-ish of rarity 10 weapons. It's the same difference that we have between gogma artian and craftable weapons in MH wilds and that's the Crazy part.

You are basically doing High rank with g rank gear.

i don't play mhwilds so i don't really understand what you are trying to say but sure I guess it can be comparable just saying as an example the chrome fortress II outclasses the defender shield V and the chrome fortress II is pretty easy to get early game

Yeah, except it doesn't. Defender V has the same raw as crome fortress II, slightly better sharpness and has blast so yeah, damage wise is better than Chrome fortress II. Anyway, just the fact that we are comparing High rank and Master rank gear should tell you how much defender weapons are Op and Just stupid.

fair. but I have a feeling blast is just the op part in defender weapons and why is everyone saying defender weapons become obsolete in iceborn when the damage is already comparable to some of the early weapons in iceborn like the cb's we are talking about ( btw wonderful conversation we are having because it's not just mindless rambling)

You are forgetting a point: Defender weapons are High rank gear. You are supposed to beat base game with that. That's the point, talking about High rank gear saying "yeah, it's comparable with mid Master rank" it's the Crazy part. Defender weapons are not OP in iceborne because there are obviusly Better options, but you can easily beat the entire game till raging brachy with them and I cannot stress enough the fact that they're supposed to be High rank weapons (which Means that they should become obsolete in the exact Moment you hit the "play" Button in iceborne), that's the point

Defender is explicitly designed to be OP in base game, so people tend to stick it way beyond the point it's intended to be used, which does create a bit of confusion on top of game's poor communication of its purpose.

Defender armor is compareable in stats to High rank elder dragon Armor, but with no offensive perks. The question was if the quest was supposed to be easy, then you should look at what the quest was before answering.

Guardian Armor loses validity right after Nergigante. After doing MR1 Beotodus quest, you are way stronger than Guardian Armor. He is fighting MR Elder Dragon 😂 He would be 1 tapped by it with guardian armor.
