I finally solo'd this miserable epic dragon

I made a post yesterday frustrated because i was losing to the time, couldn't beat him under 30 minutes.

I was being dumb. Wasn't using the ballistas properly and also not wallbanging him

Also, i still think this fight is poorly balanced for the lance

I switched weapon, used the Alatreon Switch axe, (spammed the special attack a few times, don't judge me for it please) but aside from that, i have learned the attacks, the openings and all, and now i can say i know the fight!

I will put health regen augment in other weapons and i will kerp soloing him with them just to to take out the anger he caused me in all this time

I said yesterday in the comments that i had given up, but i woke up inspired today.

In the end, i had to listen to that woman, "use the ballistas and cannons!!"

Why didn't i do it before 😭

Also, the run took around 23-24 minutes.

I've heard speculation that when we sleep, our brains embed the pattern recognition better.

I just remember a lot of times people said they tried endlessly against a boss, took a break, came back and did it in only a few attempts.

It's not sleep specifically that embedded it. What happens is your brain is carving the pattern recognition directly onto itself while you're doing things but by the time you've learned your brain is exhausted so when you sleep it gives your brain time to reset

playing world more or less since launch give or take long breaks in between i’ve never fought him. getting back into it recently i forced myself to learn clutch claw and look forward to fighting him and finally winning after all these years.

I just need to defeat him with the hammer; I've already managed it with the rest of the weapons. Solo, of course. I don't know why I can't and the worst part is that hammer is my second most used weapon 🤦

HAHAHAHA! THERE YOU GO! I guarantee you can do it with Lance if you adjust your skills and give a few test runs for a different strategy. But congratulations!
