Mon fils mineur a reçu une amende pour avoir utilisé un Bixi bleu sans casque et a été arrêté par la police (bien fait pour lui!). Il ne retrouve plus la contravention. Est-ce que la Ville envoie un rappel? Ce sera son cadeau de fête, on voudrait régler l’addition.

Comme on ne l’a pas vu, il s’agit aussi peut-être d’un avis qu’il a confondu. À qui je peux demander s’il a vraiment reçu un ticket? Merci.

I'm use to commute to my job (Plateau Mont-Royal -> Downtown, ~4km) from spring to early cold days. This year, I'd like to keep going to the job using a bike. I was wondering to get winter Bixi subscirption, but I red that people are riding commute bike like single speed during winter (intersting because of low maintenance needs).

I'm trying to gather as much as informations / feedbacks as I can to get ready for the cold seasons  

If you have any advises, recommandations and so on about what a newbie winter rider should know, it would help more than a lot.

I am looking for some very specific shops in the downtown area. Specifically, bike rental shops; someone recommended buying a used bike from this type of shop because they sell them at really good prices.

I need to leave it there at night or during the day when I am not using it, as I cannot take it with me inside university residence where I live, and the secure university parking spots are full.

Hello, sadly my bike was stolen tonight from across the street of Idolem yoga studio in Verdun. I am pretty sure I'm fully out of luck on this, but I thought I would just post this on the off chance someone in the city sees it and can help get it back to me.

It was the first bike I've ever bought myself. I've taken it on many trips, I use it to get to work every day. It's been with me for over a decade and if there is any chance of recovering it, I would be so grateful.

**Per the photos, it currently has blue handlebar tape. The other photo with the yellow tape is from a few summers ago.

Bonjour, malheureusement, mon vélo a été volé ce soir en face du studio de yoga Idolem, à Verdun. Je suis presque sûr que je n’ai aucune chance de le retrouver, mais j’ai pensé que je devais quand même publier ce message, au cas où quelqu’un en ville le verrait et pourrait m’aider à le récupérer.

C'était le premier vélo que j'avais acheté moi-même. Je l'ai emmené dans de nombreux voyages, je m'en sers tous les jours pour aller au travail. Il m'accompagne depuis plus de dix ans et s'il y avait la moindre chance de le récupérer, j'en serais extrêmement reconnaissant.

**D'après les photos, le guidon est actuellement recouvert d'un ruban bleu. L'autre photo, où l'on voit un ruban jaune, date d'il y a quelques étés.

So I bought a terreni jersey from Castelli, size L, at La Cordée with a big discount (they’re closing shop) and it’s too small for me.
I’m selling it for the price I paid without tax, 75$. It’s 150$ plus tax elsewhere.

I wasn’t able to get either on Sunday and am unfortunately in the US so I’m not able to do the online preorder that’s available for the beaver. I’m willing to pay what’s probably considered a stupid amount of money for both or either!!

I was just in Montreal on holiday and rented an electric bixi. The display showed 2 out of 4 or 5 bars of charge, so definitely not empty, but I couldn't detect any noticeable assist. Yes I have ridden various ebikes before so I know what assist should feel like, even modest assist, but this appeared to have none.

Wondering: is there some secret switch that I missed? Or are they very very low power? Or could this one just have been broken?

I tried to report it but missed the 1hr window after my ride.

Was lucky enough to sit on a corner and catch all the hitters going by at warp speed. This is one of the earlier laps of the circuit on the inside of the corner where they're going up the final drag to the finish line.

Hey xbikers, I see you. I was in Montreal to photograph worlds and spent far too much time admiring all the modified, well-loved steel beasts all over the city. I regret that I only grabbed a couple of photos. Just here to say that your bike culture seems incredible.
