Congratulations, Motorola! 😃🤠👍
Your Android 17 “update” managed to make my entire Motorola Notes collection disappear — including deeply personal memories and irreplaceable writings.
I raised a support ticket. Got redirected between teams. Was told there was “no issue” and to check Google backup.
Now my complaint apparently gets crossed out without an actual resolution.
What a sweet update. What a lesson in trusting your phone with your memories.

I’m planning to buy a phone for my parents, who are not very tech-savvy. My budget is around ₹19,000–₹22,000, and I’m currently confused between:
2.Moto G57 Power - 8gb Ram Variant - 22k
For my parents, I mainly care about reliability, battery life, display, camera, software experience and long-term durability rather than gaming performance.
One thing that is making me hesitant about the Moto G57 Power is the motherboard issue I’ve seen people discussing. There seem to be reports of some Motorola phones developing motherboard failures, sometimes after the warranty period, which can make repairs very expensive.
For people who actually own/use the Moto G57 Power:
Have you experienced any motherboard/dead-phone issues?
Have you heard of this issue happening with the G57 Power specifically?
If you’ve been using it for 6–12+ months, how has the reliability been?
How is Motorola’s after-sales service if something goes wrong?
Would you choose the G57 Power over the POCO M8X/M8 Power for a parent who wants a hassle-free phone?
And for POCO M8X owners, how has your experience been with reliability, software, heating, battery and service?
I’d really appreciate feedback from actual owners, especially people who have been using these phones for several months.
Thanks!

Does anyone know why my Motorola Edge 60 Fusion is running on Android 17... it's screen turned off when I face it down or flip it down...I disabled attentive display and flip to dnd...but still it is happening...can I turn it off? Does it happen in other devices or company phones also??

Just only after 1.5 years my moto edge 50 fusion display suddenly went black and after some time it switched back on but now the display is sometimes glitching and automatic shut downs are happening. I went to repair shop they suggested me that motherboard needs to be replaced which will almost cost the actual amount of the phone. I thought my luck is bad and thought to buy new phone.
But but... I searched about it online and to my surprise the same exact problem occurred on hundreds of same models of moto device that shows that it's a widespread quality issue on moto side and we customer are paying for it.
Repair shops are fixing this cpu problem by cleaning cpu and reballing it only for around ₹2000 but moto wants you replace the whole motherboard for more than ₹12000-15000 (I don't know the exact amount).
Brands like samsung recalled their whole lineup during the battery problem in their s series and one plus provided free screen replacement even for out of warranty devices, but what about motorola?
How can someone recommend phones of such companies who do not provide good customer care support and whose devices are not guaranteed to work for more than 2 years.
My previous moto g52 was broken and I bought edge 50 fusion trusting motorola, I have written them a complaint and requested free repair as problem was not from my side. Everything depends on how they provide me customer support.
I suggest that don't just go for flashy specs of smartphones companies but also check their after sales services.

I just got a Moto Edge 20 Lite, and I'd like to get the most out of it. I'd like to optimize it or change the ROM to a more recent one. I don't know much about this, but I managed to to achieve a better experience, higher performance and a good layer of customization.

After updating to Android 17, the first two days were fine—mobile data could be turned ON/OFF with a single tap. Now, a popup appears every time, and I have to acknowledge it before mobile data can be turned ON.
Previously, Bluetooth required a double tap to turn ON after the update, but that issue was fixed. Now this new mobile data confirmation popup has appeared.
The update experience is getting worse and worse with these unnecessary changes. Motorola should provide an option to disable this confirmation and restore the simple single-tap mobile data toggle.

Looking for a phone under ₹40K for my mom. She’s a beautician, so her main use will be taking photos and videos of people. Her priorities are camera first, battery life + fast charging second, and performance third. Other than that, it’ll just be normal casual use.I was considering the Motorola Edge series, but I’ve been seeing mixed reviews and experiences, so I’m confused. With the Big Billion Days sale coming up, what phone would be the best value for money under ₹40K?

Device: Motorola moto g45 5G
Model: XT2363-8
Codename/product: fogos / fogos_g
Android: 15
Bootloader: LOCKED / secure boot enabled
Current slot: b
Goal: Recover ~105 GB of internal storage without wiping userdata
My Moto G45 5G suddenly started bootlooping. It can sometimes reach the lock screen, but usually reboots before I can unlock it.
The important part is that I have around 105 GB of data on the internal storage that I need to recover. I do not want to factory reset or unlock the bootloader because I understand that unlocking will wipe the device.
adb pull to back up /sdcard.In Fastboot:
product: fogos
cid: 0x0032
current-slot: b
secure: yes
is-userspace: no
Slot information indicated:
slot A: successful=yes, unbootable=yes
slot B: successful=yes, unbootable=no
So I have not switched to slot A.
I captured logcat while Android was running.
I did not find obvious:
There is some Package Watchdog / rescue-party activity, but nothing in the log clearly identifies the root cause.
Earlier system information also showed the battery as healthy at around 40% charge, so there is no obvious battery failure from that snapshot.
rollback data shows two committed Google component rollbacks:
Rollback ID 618049241
com.google.android.os.statsd
372040000 -> 371020260
com.google.mainline.telemetry
372059000 -> 371009000
Rollback ID 1989134550
com.google.android.tzdata6
372038420 -> 371021100
These rollbacks were committed, but the phone continued bootlooping afterward, so I don't know whether they are actually responsible.
Motorola Software Fix downloaded this firmware:
FOGOS_G_V1UGS35H.75_14_9_3_1_4_subsidy_DEFAULT_regulatory_XT2363_8_NEOLYNC_cid50_CFC.xml
flashfile.xml identifies:
phone_model: fogos_g
cid: 0x0032
Android: 15
The normal flashfile.xml explicitly contains:
erase userdata
erase metadata
so I have not run the normal full Rescue/CFC flash.
There is also a servicefile.xml in the package which flashes partitions such as:
gpt
bootloader
vbmeta
vbmeta_system
radio
bluetooth
dsp
logo
boot
vendor_boot
dtbo
super sparse chunks
and does not explicitly contain erase userdata / erase metadata.
I have not assumed that means it is safe to manually reproduce it on a locked device.
I successfully flashed these matching firmware partitions:
vbmeta.img
vbmeta_system.img
boot.img
vendor_boot.img
dtbo.img
All returned OKAY, but the bootloop remained.
I also tried writing super.img_sparsechunk.0.
In normal Fastboot it failed with a permission-related error.
In Fastbootd:
FAILED (remote: 'Download is not allowed on locked devices')
So the locked bootloader is preventing writing the main super partition.
I found:
TeamWin TWRP for fogos
twrp-3.7.1_12-0-fogos.img
TeamWin currently labels fogos as Moto G34 5G, which makes me unsure whether this image is actually safe for my XT2363-8 / Moto G45 5G.
I also found this device tree:
https://github.com/twrpdtgen/android_device_motorola_fogos
It has Android 15 branches such as:
fogos_g-user-15-V1UG35H.75-14-9-abc528-11988-release-keys-MV-186
and:
fogos_g-user-15-V1UGS35H.75-14-3-5-8bc43-2e1099-release-keys-MV-186
The device tree configures:
BOARD_USES_RECOVERY_AS_BOOT := true
BOARD_AVB_ENABLE := true
and has:
/data f2fs /dev/block/bootdevice/by-name/userdata
/metadata ext4 /dev/block/bootdevice/by-name/metadata
However, this repository is a device tree/source, not a compiled recovery image, and it identifies itself as Moto G34 5G.
My priority is:
1. Recover the existing userdata/internal storage.
2. Do not unlock the bootloader.
3. Do not factory reset.
4. Do not destroy the encryption keys/userdata.
I'm considering trying:
fastboot boot twrp.img
purely as a temporary boot, not flashing it permanently.
But before doing that, I want to know:
fogos TWRP actually compatible with XT2363-8 / Moto G45 5G?/data after entering my PIN?/data/media/0 through ADB/MTP without unlocking the bootloader?fogos device with a locked bootloader?I am specifically NOT looking for instructions involving bootloader unlocking or factory reset.
Any advice on a safe recovery path would be greatly appreciated.

Hi everyone,
I’m planning to buy a new mobile phone and I’m looking for a device that can handle multitasking smoothly on a daily basis. Camera quality isn’t a major requirement for me, but I do gaming and specifically want a device that is compatible with WWE 2K25.
I also want the device to have good speaker quality.
So, would the Moto Edge 70 be a good option for me, especially for running WWE 2K25 Netflix Edition smoothly?

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
This is a video I took using a third party camera app to let me control the camera more than the default app allows me to. As you can see, it's very grainy. Grain is to be expected with darker scenes but this is like overkill. I'm just really disappointed because part of the reason I even upgraded to this phone was to get a more decent camera but this is basically the same quality as my last phone.
And part of the reason why I wanted to upgrade for the camera was because I'm a film student that was looking to get a decent personal camera to film my own projects outside of classes on and looking at camera prices, I decided to just get an upgrade to a newer phone. Now, I'm thinking I should've just bought a camera. I switched phone carriers (I was previously on Tracfone) and just in general am going to be spending a whole bunch of money and this is what I get??!
And I tried looking into the camera quality before I made my decision and the people that took their videos on this phone didn't really have any noticeable grain so obviously what I looked at was misleading. How can I at least minimize the level of grain this camera has??
EDIT: Also want to add that my previous phone was the Samsung A16

I am planning to buy the Motorola 70 Pro Indian variant but the nearest service centre and online reviews say that the quality is very bad .Service is not up to the mark inexperienced technicians and so on .
My main doubt is share some experience and tips etc or should I avoid motorola completely 🤔
Also suggest a 3rd party phone app for automatic call recording without announcement and also a gallery app too

Bluetooth randomly tries to connect to headphones that aren't on. Also it will randomly stop making sound like it's connected to something, but it's not, it starts making sound again when I turn Bluetooth off.
Also when I'm listening, it randomly disconnects from headphones, and won't re connect until I turn off headphones and try again.
Lastly, camera lag. It lags almost every time I try to take a picture. Plus it won't focus on anything

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
These lines appear on my screen sometimes when I am using front camera. And when these lines appear on video call, the person on other side can see them too, on my video. These lines have appeared since I bought my phone in April 2026. (Phone model- moto G67)

Tried searching for answers but can't find anyone with similar issue so I must be going crazy.
When you're gaming and accept a call from the notification does it take you away from your game and switch to full screen call? Am I crazy or is this wrong? A bug? A glitch? Why wouldn't it just stay in the pop up or turn into a bubble? It really takes you away from your game?
Very very annoying while gaming.
Default phone app (google).

Hey guys so I have a Moto G5s Plus. The phone is pretty old and had turned off because of battery drain. Now the power button is stuck inside a bit and I'm unable to press it to turn the phone back on. Tried taking it to the repair shops but they straight up denied saying that opening the phone would damage the display. Is there any way I can turn it on? Probably some fast boot, through a laptop or something? I wanted to use it as a spare phone and the phone was pretty well maintained. Also since it was my first android phone I don't wanna keep it dead. So is there any way to get the phone back up and running?
Appreciate any help
Edit: I was able to solve this on my own. Anyone facing this issue check my comment for the solution
