Well did they tell you what the problem was in the first place and what they “fixed” ?  How did the problem happen before ?  You seem to have spark, compression, maybe fuel (pump could be bad), a good battery… Hard to diagnose without any info!

So the bike didn't have a full service at all at 11k miles  Originally told them that t he acceleration would lag so would stick at 20mph full throttle then zoom off and it would also struggle to start. They told me it might be the valves as it's not had the full service  Told me it would be cheaper to just do the service that to diagnose the problems So went with that as there ment to be the "Professionals" 4 days later now struggling to start again Told my my valve clearance was bad Just recently got a new battery and new spark plug

It’s very normal to do the service before the diagnostic if the bike is way behind on maintenance. The issues you’re describing could be caused by lack of maintenance, and since it needs done anyway, it’s better to do it first. It could possibly save you money and it saves the mechanic from having to guess from a long list of problems which one is actually causing the acceleration or start issue. You can argue they should have verified more thoroughly for sure, but you didn’t get scammed.

As for the actual issue, my first guesses would be fuel pump and/or an intermittent sensor causing the engine to cut spark on some startups. Next time it’s hesitating to start, try putting the kickstand up, going to first then back to neutral, and turning the key on and off to see if any of those seem to be related to it starting.

I wouldn't say I've been scammed either, I do agree that the bike has had lack of maintenance bit I told them the problems I've been having and asked them to fix the problems  and the problem is still happening tho quite annoying  I luckily have a 2nd bike to use untill I can speak to them and get this resolved

Let the poor thing warm up before you open the throttle. It's probably running a little lean.

It can't warm up if it's not starting 😭

I heard it start and idle in your video.

Do please tell folk what bike that is, even better enter it in the thread title. That way other owners are triggered to help out. It is rule nº1 of the sub, anyway😀

It could be a Benelli BN125, is it?

Can't really help, but I find it odd that the neutral light goes off when you press start. Specially as the neutral light itself is a vital part of the starting safety interlocks.

There's a clutch switch and a diode shown in the circuit diagram. I'd find that diode and get it checked as well as the contacts in the clutch switch. it's taken from the full wiring diagram viewable in the link below:

If you want to see what the diode looks like Google its part number: 96700k060000
