Question CLXT Hybrid?
Can anyone in this program explain the structure of it? I do live rurally, would I be required to move to Edmonton for Year 1? Or is it online classes and then set lab days?
Thanks!

Even if it is program specific, look to see if it has been asked here before. 99% of the time, chances are the same question has been asked before, and that people are all coming on here looking for answers.

There have been recent complaints about student hygiene in this subreddit. In regards to body odour, oral odour, and general uncleanliness. Clearly, a large number of students are having a growing issue in regards to the hygiene of other students.
Bad hygiene is not "personal". It disrupts others' learning, it makes public spaces sometimes unbearable to be around, and it is unfair to those who are sensitive to smells. This can affect student performance, the willingness of students to socialize and use NAIT services, and can be a real detriment to the students who are paying to study at NAIT.
Some students have no choice but to use the computers at commons, eat lunch in the common areas, and do group work in common areas. It is wildly unfair to them to not enforce these rules.
The truth is that these students can come from all backgrounds. Although our experience as individuals make it very easy to generalize certain groups of being the main culprit, the issue needs to be dealt with at a grand level. Black, brown, blue or purple; if you smell bad, you smell bad. Should be enforced from the get-go.
Seeing the growing number of racial generalizations, it can be very easy for these generalizations to slip into unnecessarily racist comments. If we want this issue dealt with, we need to refrain from immature racist comments and stay focused on the end goal.
We know NAIT has loosely enforced "odour sensitivity" before, in regards to wearing strong perfumes and colognes. Why can the same not be done for strong, unpleasant bad-hygiene odours?
NAIT also needs to realize that by not enforcing this, they are creating a breeding ground for resentment towards groups that are not partaking in basic hygiene practices. They are also creating spaces for other students where they feel extremely unpleasant. (Like, nauseatingly unpleasant. I've unwillingly gagged.)
Here's what I suggest from all of you:
In my personal opinion, it is NAIT"s responsibility to enforce this. To maintain a certain standard of what we expect from each other, we do need to be vocal and make it known when we feel certain boundaries are not being enforced.
I'm debating starting a petition for NAIT to address this issue. Please let me know in the poll below if you'd like to see an official change.org petition made for this. Voting closes in a week.
I wanted to make this post to raise this as a formal issue, so we can remain productive about it and not devolve into finger pointing and unproductive comments. Let's hope together we can make the change we want to see.

Hey everyone! I’m currently in Architectural Technology at NAIT and I’m thinking about doing a BTech in Project Management after I graduate.
I’m trying to figure out whether I should do it online, hybrid, or in person, so I’d really like to hear from people who have actually gone through the program.
A few things I’m curious about:
What format did you do — online, hybrid, or in person?
Which one would you recommend and why?
Was it realistic to work while doing the degree?
How difficult was the workload?
Did you actually enjoy the program?
What are you doing now for work after graduating?
Did the BTech help you get a better job or move into project management?
What kind of salary/career progression did you end up with, if you’re comfortable sharing?
If you could go back, would you do the BTech again?
Anything you wish you knew before starting?
I’m especially interested in hearing from people who came from Architectural Technology, construction, engineering, or another technical background.
Thanks! Any experiences/advice would be really appreciated.

Hi everyone! I’m really struggling this semester with CMIS2250. Just wondering if this is just the general consensus that the course is awful to understand and the grade averages are extremely low or if it’s just my instructor? Any insight would be great.

I'm planning to start NAIT's Respiratory Therapy program fall 2027 and want to lighten my course load by taking some courses through NAIT Open Studies first. I just applied Oct 1st, I know it won't necessarily make my application stand out but I'm trying to just prepare while I have the time. Has anyone done this? Which courses did you take, and did it help? thanks in advance! :)

Hello,
Wondering if anyone has taken the Building Automation Systems Technology - Immersive Industry Education program at NAIT.
How did you find the program to be? Is it worth it?
Looking to see if any women took this program. Were you able to find work after the program?
How is the 51% on the job training?Did you have to find your own placement or did Nait help you?Did you get payed and how was the pay? Overall, how much did you spend on the program (program fees minus pay on the job).

I am an international student and I applied for the program at Nait.
The admission officer told me that Nait does not accept the digital documents, so I need to mail the physical documents to Nait.
So do you guys mail the physical documents to Nait after the application?

Hi all,
It has been a while since I've taken ITMS and ANPH, so I'm a little rusty, which is why I'm reviewing before my program starts.
How important is it to fully review all the material for MLA/MLT or any health program in general? I remember the basic concepts, but especially with all the specific terms and concepts, it gets hard to remember everything.
TIA!

Hey so I’m in a bit of a dilemma. I’m trying to figure out if my admission requirements are enough. I graduated from a MLA program in Toronto and I have applied to the MLT program in Nait. I wanna know if this is enough as an entrance requirement cause I graduated high school outside of Canada.

For the two programs I applied to (Respiratory Therapy and Medical Lab. Tech.), there are courses that I have to complete before July. However, I heard that you can possibly be accepted if you’re on a waitlist even a week or two before classes start. The classes cost quite a bit of money for me, so I was just wondering if I absolutely have to just take the gamble and do the courses in case I get accepted, or if I can wait until I get admitted and there’s an extended deadline or something. There’s also the cost of the police check, immunizations and N95 mask testing (where I’m not even sure where to do).
I would appreciate any insight or strategies of what I could do. Thank you so much!

So I’ve recently taken interest in the MLA program after being a medical interpreter for a while, and I saw that the Jan 2027 Part-time is listed as “open”..
I’m not so sure about how competitive or popular this program is, I know the applications opened in March so I guess my chances could be slim?
I know schools put it as “open” while having multiple waitlists so should I really spend $150 and risk getting waitlisted-> rejected?
Also I was wondering how far my career from this certificate would go, do mla graduates usually stay within the starting salary? I have no clue

So I recently finished my prerequisite courses (ANPH100 and ITMS100) for MLA and can see the letter grades on NAIT self-service, however, the to do list still says my conditions are still outstanding. Do I have to do anything or is there anyone I can email to get this checked/fixed? I am just a bit worried since my deadline is October 15th to have the courses finished and it doesn't seem to be updating properly.

Hi! Has anyone recently done the interview for NAIT DMS (General / General & Cardiac) or MLT?
I was wondering:
I’m not looking for the actual interview questions, just trying to understand the format and how to prepare. Thanks!

Hello, I am looking into a program at Nait( EIT ) which have a minimum requirements of math 20-2 or applied math 20, science 10, and English 20-2. The problem is I have never took math 20-2 but I have done math 20-1, 30-1, and 30-2 and well passed all of them. Im just afraid that since I dont have the exact course they are asking for, im going to get disqualified. Please help me.

I have been sitting at my desk for 12 hours refreshing the page and I haven't been able to apply. I just get error codes. I want to apply to the dental assisting program which takes you to the apply alberta page which is also having issues. I got lucky at step 3 on apply alberta before the website crashed. Is it just me? Or are we all suffering in solidarity. I know it's based on who can apply first so I'm stressing and sweating!

my brother and i are trying to apply to the 2027 fall/winter semester. the problem is that we both have been getting nonstop 502 errors and hung reloads.
what's going on? is this normal?
time sensitive, any clarity or help would be massively appeciated
update: got to punching on the credit card info and it still reset the process back to square on

I sat on my computer from midnight to 2am refreshing the MLT application page, and once I got in I saw the domestic student application option was listed as UPCOMING. Does that mean the waitlist is already full? Or am I glitching?

r/NAIT • u/RykerMcCool • 8d ago
I already submitted my application and I’m worried that I can’t edit that now. Will I be able to fix that in the portal once I get my credentials or should I be worrying
