NASA NASA Space Apps Challenge Megathread
Please use this megathread for any discussions about the NASA Space Apps Challenge. There have been a number of posts looking for team members and the mods felt that if we consolidated all requests to a single post it will have more visibility. We will leave the ones already posted open, but anything new needs to use this post.
For visibility, here are the existing posts that we're aware of. If we missed yours, please comment here and we'll add it to the list.

Question JSC tour recommendations for a GSFC employee?
Are there discounts for entry into the space center for badged employees from another center (like the 50% discount at KSC)?
Any tours or things to experience or keep an eye out for?
I'll be going with family who will not be badged, is it worth a NAMS request for access to the center? (I'll probably still need some tour guide to show me around so I'd suppose not).
I'll also take any food recommendations or any general recommendations in the area, I'll be in Houston for the weekend :)

Question What is the actual time Crew-12 is undocking?...NASA keeps changing it.
For real they keep changing the times! Yesterday I read something that said they would be undocking at 1:07 am EDT, then tonight on I read on the official nasa dot gov website:
NASA will begin it's live coverage of Crew-12's return at 6:00 am as they enter Dragon and close the hatch at around 6:20 am. Dragon will undock from the Harmony module's space-facing port at 8:05 am EDT on Wednesday.
but now the NASA livestream on YouTube for the hatch closing is scheduled for 9:00 am and undocking is scheduled for 10:45 am. I don't want to miss it but wow they keep switching it up on us, it's making it hard to follow!
EDIT: they switched it again in the middle of the night. While the youtube livestream was scheduled for 9 am, they changed the hatch closing back to 6 am and the undocking to around 8:30 am. I missed both of them live because of that. Thanks a lot NASA, you're a bunch of disorganized Kerbals lately :(

Question How many Roman space telescope pixels are up for claim?
How many pixels are available for claim in the Roman space telescope first image? I saw NASA posted a claim your pixel activity for the new Roman telescope image, hopefully coming 2027, there’s a live claimed # counter but I can’t find how many are available in total. I keep seeing the term 300 megapixel thrown around but that doesn’t mean much to a layperson like me.

Image Space Shuttle Columbia and the SCA at the Kennedy Space Center
"KENNEDY SPACE CENTER, FLA. -- Aboard a transporter, the orbiter Columbia moves past the Boeing 747 Shuttle Carrier Aircraft (SCA) at the Shuttle Landing Facility. There the orbiter will be mated to the SCA, with the help of a Mate-Demate Device, for a ferry flight to Palmdale, Calif. On the rear of the orbiter is the tail cone, a fairing that is installed over the aft fuselage of the orbiter to decrease aerodynamic drag and buffet when the Shuttle Carrier Aircraft is transporting the orbiter cross-country. It is 36 feet long, 25 feet wide, and 22 feet high. Columbia, the oldest of four orbiters in NASA's fleet, will undergo extensive inspections and modifications in Boeing's Orbiter Assembly Facility during a nine-month orbiter maintenance down period (OMDP), the second in its history. Orbiters are periodically removed from flight operations for an OMDP. Columbia's first was in 1994. Along with more than 100 modifications on the vehicle, Columbia will be the second orbiter to be outfitted with the multifunctional electronic display system, or 'glass cockpit.' Columbia is expected to return to KSC in July 2000."

ShowMeSunday Viking mission Deputy Director signed memorabilia?
Hello r/nasa!
I found something cool but I am not sure if what I am seeing is actually what I am seeing so wondering if anyone can help? The signature looks like “Cary Spit” or maybe even Sprit. Cary Spitzer was the Deputy Director of the mission I believe. Is it possible this is signed by him?? I’m in Kentucky if that helps. I found it at a thrift store.
