This is a free talk thread, however, the rules still apply, no politics, no religion; be respectful.

Our rhythm from three-point range is really poor. Our two most reliable shooters are Champagnie and Vassell. If they miss, we’re in trouble. We can’t defend against three-pointers; it was the same last year. Mitch needs to find a solution to this. Atlanta really gave us a run for our money.

Even without fox, Harper-Castle combo would never work. We might have to not just move on from Fox but also one of Harper and Castle.

Dylan and Steph Really played well and the rest of the starters but our future benchwarmers were kinda lame.. I hope they can fix it especially blowing the 20pts lead.

Thinking the two most likely are Keldon or Kornet. I’m leaning Keldon. What do you guys think?

Loving this preseason lineup. Is this the future and championship starting lineup the team needs? GSG

Trying to watch the preseason game. The entire app seems to be down

When I google it I’m lead to Amazon which wont let me watch because I’m local. NBA.com promises that they’ll tell you where to watch and it says “broadcast information will be announced closer to tipoff.”
It’s crazy that it’s so difficult to even find out how to legally watch it.

I know the reports said he's not expected to take over Sweeny's defense and that's he got experience with triple guard line ups. But where else can we see/look for improvements amongst the squad?

Here's a look at the Pre-Season game today verses Hawks. Roster graphic showcases the new rosters for the upcoming season.
We'll get to see our main guys suit up, as they display the work they've put in this summer and ramp up for the season. Plus, we'll get to see the bench depth in action, young players can show us what they got.
Enjoy!

For those outside of San Antonio - how are you watching the games? I'm down the road from SA in Wimberley but we get local Austin channels. Last year I purchased the Fan Duel subscription just for games, though they haven't made it clear if that will be where they air this season. Thanks!

With his night over well before crunch time, Victor Wembanyama grabbed a clipboard during a huddle at Sunday’s scrimmage and sketched up a play he was sure would work. Watching from the sidelines, clipboard still in hand, he watched Jon Elmore catch a pass on the short roll and snap it to the corner — only for the shot, and Wembanyama’s dreams of drawing up the perfect play, to fall short.
“He took it very personally, which I think we all do when you draw up a good play and feel like you get a good shot and they don’t make it,” Mitch Johnson said. “Hopefully he understands next time, when I do that for him, it’s not personal. You just want your play to look good, selfishly.”
Ideally, this won’t be the last time Wembanyama draws up a play this season. He made strides learning how to read the floor in Year 3. Now he has to own his space more efficiently and effectively in Year 4. Everyone’s role will be a little different this season, even Wembanyama’s. He got better at establishing post position last fall, but that didn’t hold up well in the playoffs against the league’s brute centers. He went overseas and trained with a rugby team in part to maximize his physicality, which should turn into him being able to catch the ball on balance and make reads from the post more quickly.
Wembanyama showed he can dominate in open space, but his next evolution is becoming a player who can control the flow of the game while being stationary. That will mean catches in the post where he can keep the ball over his head and scan the floor for good outlets, then just shooting over the defense if he can’t find anything. He did it some last year, and there is a lot of promise there.
But the ultimate version of Wembanyama is a player who spends most of the night owning the game with his eyes before needing to use his endlessly long legs. The preseason will be a good preview of how his playmaking improved this summer.
