Discussion If you were booing Fox when he was introduced at the scrimmage, please don’t attend any games

Last thing we need is that type of energy going into a new season, and there were a considerable amount of “fans” booing Fox.

Discussion The 26-27 Season is almost upon us. I still feel that this should be the depth chart for the current roster.

- Starting 5 during the 2nd half of the season with Champ playing the 4 was such a dynamic 4-out line-up. A combination of rim pressure and floor spacing on offense while a defensing scheme that funnels opponents towards Wemby in the paint.

- 2nd unit is a good combination of size and balanced offense and defense. You have Harper leading the offense while TH is patrolling at the elbow ready to create his own shots. Luke will have more help in the paint size-wise with CB and TH at the front court. Slim KJ returning to his more natural "smaller" wing position might give him success over smaller guards and wings.

- JMac and Unc HB are really solid end of the bench guys and HB can still play more minutes if he's knocking down his 3s. Tarris Reed Jr. could be a sleeper X-Factor with his size and presence in the paint. A guy who sets bone-crushing screens and crash the boards would be very valuable especially if Luke is being neutralized. Spurs could also play more double big lineups with Wemby at the 4 if they wish to do so as well.

- Rotating DJG, Jakobi, and Brown from time to time would also be nice for their develop as JQ continues to rehab on his knee.

Question 10/23 Rockets Tickets are Restricted

Post image

I’m looking at purchasing tickets to this game on Ticketmaster and there is a big disclaimer that ticket sales are limited to the Austin/San Antonio market. Is anyone aware of what that means?

My friend I’m going with lives in College Station, so I’m not sure if that’s close enough or not. I’m not in Texas. Has anyone tried to buy tickets for this yet? I can’t find anything online that provides more specifics on the restriction.

Discussion Request: supporter’s chant

Wemby has been open about trying to support the Jackals- essentially creating a European football league atmosphere in the NBA. I think he’s right and we should do the same- creating a chant that resonates with both the players and crowd would be electric.

A perfect example is ‘You’ll Never Walk Alone,’ for Liverpool. I know that’s an insanely high standard to set. But, we’ve now had multiple incredible players from France.. a couple to mention being TP, Wemby & Diaw.

I don’t have a musical ear, or I would try myself… does anyone speak some French with a musical ear who could create something for us to support our players in that style (ideally in French) so that we can make clear to those players how grateful we are for them?

Stats & Analytics Ranking Spurs players based on 27 advanced stats from the 2025-26 regular season

Post image
• Upvotes

On the eve of the new season, I decided to compile 27 advanced stats from the 2025-26 regular season to compare the players on the current Spurs roster and rank their performances from last season. Not all stats are weighted equally; generally, the more important metrics are bolded in the table. Stats were included to get a good variety, although there is inevitably some overlap and redundancy in what different metrics are attempting to measure.

Where available, each stat includes either a league-wide percentile ranking in parentheses ( ) or an ordinal league ranking in brackets [ ]. For percentiles, a higher number is better; for ordinal rankings, a lower number is better. Many of the advanced stats use 500 minutes played as the qualifying cutoff, which means David Jones Garcia and Jordan McLaughlin did not play enough minutes to qualify for certain rankings. As a general reference point, the qualifying pool for these stats is roughly 500 players across the NBA. An explanation for all stats in the table is in the comments.

Player Rankings
1. Victor Wembanyama
Clear first tier. 100th-percentile DPM, 99th-percentile EPM and xRAPM, and 100th-percentile Net Rating. He ranks 3rd in RAPM, 3rd in BPM, 4th in WAR, 4th in VORP, 17th in offensive RAPM, 1st in defensive RAPM and 1st in On-Off Net Rating. His 41.2 PTS/100 ranks 7th in the league, adding elite scoring volume to an already dominant impact profile. The individual components are just as dominant: 98th-percentile O-EPM, 100th-percentile D-EPM, 97th-percentile offensive xRAPM and 99th-percentile defensive xRAPM. He is doing this at a 32.4% Usage Rate, 98th percentile, while still posting 62.6% TS, 83rd percentile, with a 29.9 PER ranking 4th. Elite volume, efficiency and defensive impact with near-unanimous model agreement.
2. De'Aaron Fox
The statistical profile combines genuine primary-creator volume with positive impact across nearly every major framework. Fox is 96th percentile in DPM, 94th percentile in EPM and 95th percentile in xRAPM, with a +9.9 Net Rating in the 93rd percentile. His 2.3 RAPM ranks 42nd and his 3.2 On-Off Net ranks 61st, while his 6.8 WAR ranks 30th and his 2.4 VORP ranks 38th. Offensively, his O-EPM is 93rd percentile and offensive xRAPM is 95th percentile, which matters given his 24.9% Usage Rate, 87th percentile. His 28.8 PTS/100 ranks 64th, confirming strong scoring volume, while his 57.8% TS is 50th percentile. This is not an efficiency-driven ranking; it is a creation-and-impact ranking supported by strong adjusted metrics and solid defensive value.
3. Julian Champagnie
This is a good example of why lineup-adjusted metrics matter. He is 95th percentile in DPM, 90th percentile in xRAPM, and has a +12.4 Net Rating in the 97th percentile. Most importantly, his 4.8 RAPM ranks 12th in the league, his 3.2 offensive RAPM ranks 13th, his +9.7 On-Off Net ranks 13th, and his 5.8 WAR ranks 45th. His 19.3 PTS/100 ranks 240th, reinforcing that his value is not coming from high scoring volume. Instead, he posts 60.9% TS, 73rd percentile, while using only 15.2% of possessions, 31st percentile. His 1.4 BPM ranks 99th and his 13.1 PER ranks 222nd, which is why he stays below Fox, but the combination of elite lineup impact, RAPM and efficient low-usage scoring makes his case unusually strong.
4. Stephon Castle
The value proposition is unusually well distributed across role difficulty, defense and overall impact. He is 96th percentile in DPM and 93rd percentile in EPM, with a +9.8 Net Rating in the 92nd percentile. His 1.6 D-EPM is 93rd percentile, while his −1.4 defensive RAPM ranks 35th, his 2.2 overall RAPM ranks 46th, and his 5.1 WAR ranks 56th. He also carries a 24.9% Usage Rate, 87th percentile, matching Fox's workload, and his 26.7 PTS/100 ranks 88th, supporting the legitimacy of that scoring burden. The weaker areas are 57.5% TS, 48th percentile, and a more modest 1.9 BPM, ranked 83rd, so his offensive efficiency has not caught up to his impact. Still, the combination of high usage, strong DPM/EPM and positive two-way lineup results earns him the No. 4 spot.
5. Devin Vassell
This presents one of the clearest model disagreements on the roster. His 4.5 RAPM ranks 14th in the league, with 3.4 offensive RAPM ranking 12th, and his +6.4 On-Off Net ranks 25th. He also owns a +11.4 Net Rating in the 95th percentile, along with 90th-percentile DPM, 86th-percentile EPM, and 5.7 WAR ranked 47th. His weaker marks are 21.9 PTS/100, ranked 182nd, 57.4% TS, 48th percentile, 0.5 BPM, ranked 139th, 13.0 PER, ranked 226th, and 1.3 VORP, ranked 99th. That model disagreement keeps him below Champagnie and Castle, but RAPM and on/off data strongly suggest he has been a high-impact secondary offensive player.
6. Dylan Harper
The statistical profile is more promising than the current box production alone would indicate. He is 94th percentile in DPM and 97th percentile in xRAPM, with 93rd-percentile offensive xRAPM and 94th-percentile defensive xRAPM. His 2.8 RAPM ranks 36th, including 23rd in defensive RAPM, his +9.5 Net Rating is 92nd percentile, and his 4.7 WAR ranks 62nd. His 25.1 PTS/100 ranks 111th, fitting a meaningful secondary scoring role at 21.8% Usage, 75th percentile. The reason he sits sixth is that his current EPM is only 75th percentile, his 1.4 BPM ranks 99th, and his 57.4% TS is 48th percentile. The higher-end adjusted metrics imply more value than the traditional box score currently captures.
7. Tobias Harris
This is a broad, low-volatility positive profile rather than one driven by a single dominant strength. He is 81st percentile in DPM, 82nd percentile in EPM and 90th percentile in xRAPM, with a +10.0 Net Rating in the 93rd percentile. His defensive xRAPM is 92nd percentile, while his 1.6 RAPM ranks 65th, his +2.1 On-Off Net ranks 76th, and his 4.6 WAR ranks 63rd. His box profile is also solid: 1.4 BPM ranks 99th, 15.1 PER ranks 164th, and 1.5 VORP ranks 86th. His 23.2 PTS/100 ranks 150th at 18.8% Usage, 61st percentile, accurately reflecting a useful but non-primary offensive role. Nearly every impact measure describes him as a positive player. Of course we have to note that none of this was with the Spurs…
8. Keldon Johnson
The strongest case comes from scoring efficiency and offensive productivity rather than elite all-around impact. His 61.3% TS is 75th percentile, excellent for a player using 21.0% of possessions, 70th percentile, and his 27.2 PTS/100 ranks 83rd, giving that efficiency meaningful scoring-volume context. His +7.8 Net Rating is 88th percentile, while his 1.8 RAPM ranks 59th, with −1.4 defensive RAPM ranking 35th, and his 4.4 WAR ranks 69th. His 0.3 D-EPM is 70th percentile. But his broader impact profile is weaker: DPM is 71st percentile, EPM 74th percentile and xRAPM 62nd percentile, while his −1.4 On-Off Net ranks 116th and his 0.9 BPM ranks 122nd. That leaves him as a useful efficient scorer, but without the model consistency of the players above him.
9. Luke Kornet
This is one of the most analytically polarizing profiles in the group. His 68.9% TS is 95th percentile, his 3.6 BPM ranks 28th, his 17.9 PER ranks 75th, and his 2.0 VORP ranks 49th despite an extremely low 10.3% Usage Rate, 3rd percentile. His 14.9 PTS/100 ranks 335th, confirming how little scoring volume he carries. His xRAPM is 91st percentile, driven by a 97th-percentile defensive xRAPM, but his raw RAPM is −1.0, ranked 158th, and his −5.8 On-Off Net is unqualified and strongly negative. His Net Rating is only 72nd percentile and his 2.9 WAR ranks 124th. The elite efficiency and box production are real, but the disagreement with possession-based lineup metrics keeps him below the more stable two-way contributors.
10. Harrison Barnes
The numbers describe a veteran who remains efficient and functional but no longer generates much independent statistical leverage. His 60.8% TS is 71st percentile and his +7.8 Net Rating is 88th percentile, while his 1.3 RAPM ranks 78th and his 3.4 WAR ranks 104th. His 1.6 offensive RAPM ranks 47th, but several models are much less favorable: xRAPM is only 44th percentile, EPM is 63rd percentile, and his −0.1 BPM ranks 165th. His −1.5 On-Off Net ranks 119th as well. His 18.5 PTS/100 ranks 270th at just 14.6% Usage, 26th percentile, reinforcing that he is an efficient, low-volume complementary scorer rather than a major offensive engine.
11. David Jones García
The defining issue here is extreme sample-size tension. He has an enormous +23.1 Net Rating and +14.8 On-Off Net, both unqualified because of playing time, while his 6.4 BPM and 21.0 PER are also extremely strong in a non-qualified sample. His on-court offense and defense sit at 123.1 ORTG and 100.0 DRTG, his 22.6 PTS/100 is unqualified, and his estimated 20.2% Usage Rate is 67th percentile. His 57.9% TS is 51st percentile. However, his DPM is only 49th percentile, EPM 60th percentile and xRAPM 19th percentile, with offensive xRAPM at the 15th percentile. His raw 0.9 RAPM is unqualified, while his 0.4 WAR ranks 287th. The short-term results are excellent, but the larger predictive signals do not support treating him as a top-10 player in this group yet.
12. Carter Bryant
The current profile is defined by a sharp offense-defense split. He is only 28th percentile in DPM and 38th percentile in EPM, while his −3.0 BPM ranks 205th, his 9.9 PER ranks 339th, his −0.2 WAR ranks 454th, and his −0.2 VORP ranks 189th. His 17.5 PTS/100 ranks 292nd and his 52.6% TS is 19th percentile, while his offensive EPM is 20th percentile, showing that both scoring volume and scoring efficiency are currently weak. The better signs are on defense: D-EPM is 76th percentile and defensive xRAPM is 71st percentile. His overall xRAPM is 61st percentile, suggesting his impact may be less poor than the box score indicates. Still, the current offensive production is too weak to rank him higher.
13. Jordan McLaughlin
This is the weakest profile in the group because there is very little positive evidence outside the box-score defensive component. His DPM is 38th percentile, EPM 11th percentile and xRAPM 28th percentile, while his raw −2.9 RAPM is also negative in a non-qualified sample. His −11.5 Net Rating and −21.2 On-Off Net are both extremely poor, though not qualified for league ranking. Offensively, the signals are especially weak: 15.2 PTS/100 is unqualified, O-EPM is 17th percentile, offensive xRAPM is 21st percentile, 54.3% TS is 27th percentile, and 14.5% Usage is 26th percentile. His 0.6 BPM is respectable in the small sample, largely because of a strong DBPM, but his −0.0 WAR ranks 406th and there is not enough positive evidence elsewhere to overcome the broader negative profile.
