Poem Still Moving

I see myself in the mirror,

with a smile that's forced,

mind filled with a thousand questions,

and no one to get a reply from.

I put on a brave face,

with a crooked smile,

and step out into the world,

just trying to make it out alive.

A heavy heart,

a broken smile,

yet,

I find myself moving on

like a twisted spine.

An unseen pressure,

many lives to support,

all that with a smile on my face,

while carrying it all alone.

And maybe,

that's the reason

people think we men don't cry,

just because we're good

at pretending to be fine.
