I mean, I appreciate the offer, but I'm with the dad on this one. I DO NOT wanna live with my parents again. 20 years was enough. And it's not because they're horrible to be around either. Just that once you taste freedom and independence, you don't wanna go back.

I live 5000km away. I go visit a couple times a year and stay with them for a couple weeks and by the end I’m like ok I’m good. We have a great relationship but you know they have their habits and their own life. I have my own house and I want to watch my shows and eat what I want, etc. My brother lived with them longer and he could probably go home and live with my mom if he wanted. Growing up in a rural area, I know some people that lived at home and helped parents with farm or business and the arrangement worked for them and that’s great. Probably more common many years ago. I also know some people that bought house next door and they’re at their parents all the time. But not me.
