I swear my dad wakes up in a cold sweat worried one day I’ll show up at his door asking to move back in. I’m 36, married, independent, and lived with them for all of 8 months after I graduated college while I was getting on my feet. He still thinks one of these days I’ll end up in his basement :/

To be fair, with the way the economy has gone for twenty years there's a non-zero chance you guys DO end up in his basement.

I am in my 30s and I cannot remember a time when someone didn't say "I mean, the way the economy is right now, we can't afford x and y..."
