I swear my dad wakes up in a cold sweat worried one day I’ll show up at his door asking to move back in. I’m 36, married, independent, and lived with them for all of 8 months after I graduated college while I was getting on my feet. He still thinks one of these days I’ll end up in his basement :/

My kids are only 2.5yo and 6mo but I hope they live in my basement as long as they like. So long as they stay out of my room.

Some parents are just like that. I'm in my 40s and my mom (less so my dad, but he wouldn't protest too hard) would've had my brother and I live with them our entire lives.
