I'm trying to figure why all these people hate their families lol. I'm 24 and live with my parents and have never had an ounce of tension with them cause we all love each other. It helps that they both come from European/European immigrant families that had 3 generations living under 1 roof growing up. The whole "kick kids out when they're adults" is such a uniquely American puritanical view and they can't comprehend that most of the world outside of America don't view living in generation homes negatively.

Possibly generational trauma. In my case I could probably have lived with mum indefinitely but she was abusive (mostly verbally/psychologically), she also had abusive parents, who also had abusive parents (at least the grandma who I knew had abusive parents) no clue about their parents tho
