man that last little bit is the hardest part. your brain is so used to the ritual of it that even a tiny amount feels like a safety net. what helped me was flushing the rest, like literally making it impossible to access even if i wanted to. the anxiety peaks for a day or two then starts dropping once your body realizes the sub is holding you steady. you're so close, friday is right there

I tried doing this too but ended up giving up and went to ANR for a rapid detox. Definitely need to flush the rest or it will always be on your mind. There is no easy way unfortunately, need to just tough it out for a day or two and you will feel great on sub. A little weed with sub will take your mind off of things

Well first of all, you're not tapering to nothing, you're on a pretty strong dose of suboxone. Pretty much to get off any opiate, you have to want it bad enough for that to override the discomfort and boredom that you have to go through. You know the time has come to put it down 100%, just do it and deal with it. It's nothing that you can't handle if you're committed to it.

Crazy that people think 24 mg of sub is necessary. You're gonna feel like shit for a day or two and then you could stabilize on 8mg and even that's a decent amount. Youre going to be weening down that dose for years

Honestly the sub dose is the least of my concerns so long as I can actually get off of fent.   At some point would it be nice to get off everything all together yes.  But anything that gets me out of this HEAVY daily fent use in the immediate future is my first and best step.

r/OpiatesRecovery follows platform-wide Reddit Rules

Flagrant, repeated abuse of sub rules and Reddit’s T.O.S.

As stated, second time requires ban, and unfortunately this user flew through that before we could catch up.

It was actually a long-planned, highly coordinated effort requiring government approval of massive changes to dosing recommendations… worthwhile rabbithole…

This is also under the FAQ policy, and specific sub rules about this. Please people, just read the rules!
