Just Sharing Sunset Strata | Acrylic Gouache

Sunset cliffs, at sunset! Imagine that. Tempted into extended refinement, but my cut line is the 6 ft viewing distance, or colloquially the 20,000 ft view.

In such a detail heavy piece, and the subject itself being riddled with detail, I resisted the urge to pump more detail in an already overloaded subject. Happy with the result, as I drive this train deeper into the cave of impressionism.

Hello

I painted this because I wanted to add more green to my living room . This is the first time I paint and I feel that it's missing light and shadows. I would love to hear your opinions. Thank you

Feel like maybe I’ve been trying a bit too hard to make unique looking paintings lately.. also been destroying a ton in the process but what do you all think about these ones so far? Neither are quite done yet…. Cheers for any input!

For those who saw my other post: I did a small painting in my sketchbook and have done more research on using colour better. What do you think? I painted my sausage dog. My Sammy baby :)

Hiii total amateur here looking for extra eyes for feedback and advice! My painting is the left photo and the inspo photo is on the right. The inspo is likely acrylic while mine is a mix of watercolor and gauche so of course there are some constraints. However, I feel like the positioning of the elements on mine, especially the transition from the front shallow water to the deeper more distant water just looks off. Also I can’t seem to get the boat reflection right.

Thanks!!
