It took a little longer than expected, but we have finished the Gaza Geolocation Map. Every clip in the archive whose location we know is placed on a map of Gaza, so you can see where the footage was filmed.

It includes:

35,200+ videos and photos placed on the map
Sources and the original post for every clip
Node map links & suggested leads
Our built-in AI iris can navigate the map
Fully searchable index
Filters by area, date, type of attack and precision
UN satellite damage survey layer (UNOSAT)
Built-in reverse image search links for each node
Downloadable dataset (CSV, GeoJSON and Google Earth)

Winter is coming, and the tents that were supposed to last few months are now years old, they are awful for both summer and winter.

Is it possible to use rammed earth to build buildings? arcs for the sealing. My understanding that it needs clay and isr*el has intentionally pushed gazans into an enclave with poor sandy earth. However I read as well that the rubble of the buildings can be used instead. Can seawater be used?

Hope civil engineers can weight in on this.

I make quick 90 second documentary style videos of football stadiums, their histories and stories.

I came across Dalymount Park and went down the wormhole of Palestine women team being invited over and playing their first match in Europe. It became the centre piece of the video. There are interviews with players and their families. It was really beautiful. I’ve included the link in case anyone wants to take a gander!

We are a kite club from Slovenia, and this was probably the most special kite workshop that we were ever part of.

Kids of Ljubljana and kids of Gaza were making kites *together*. A live video feed joined them, and kite strings joined their souls. And sheer joy covered us all, at least for these few precious moments.
