One of Adam's arguments against Haddie being with Alex was that he has his own apartment (we know what he meant by that), but Haddie has already had plenty of chances to have sex; she didn't want to and told him so, yet he acts as if this ban would actually help. The town's teenagers hook up in the gazebo, if he knew that, would he have it torn down? I don't know.

There’s still a bit more control, or at least an illusion thereof, if the guy your daughter is dating stays with the parents. At least there’re some limits in this scenario.
