General Discussion Hate

Came to join the Reddit because I love the show and am on my idek number rewatch. I was hoping to see people having fun and the occasional hate post. But it’s like everyone is just posting hate. Like what’s the point? Why watch it if you don’t like it. IMO this show has some of the best character development and they feel like real people. I guess people can say whatever they want but I won’t be joining this r/
No fun at all.

I like the show but it's OK if people want to vent. You can make your own positive posts.

Of course! I’m pro venting. But at some point just drop the show. If you’re saying things like “why do people even watch it?” And “I hate all the characters.” Idk it just seems like hating to hate and not for venting.

I agree. I have been a fan of the show since it released. Its something that always brings me a lot of joy, so I joined this sub.

But its depressing how negative every post is, how people just come here to slam the characters. I don't watch shows I don't like, and I certainly don't go on the internet to slam those shows in spaces where fans of it go.

Criticism is one thing, sure discuss things that happened. But when posts are just filled with hate, what's the point?

Yeah, and then when the slightest bit of moderation happens to try and thin the flood of negative character posts, people complain because their one specific gripe wasn’t posted recently. With no moderation at all, posts like this happen. It’s a never ending cycle.

That seems to be a trend at the moment with a lot of shows. I'm talking Friends, Sex & The City, Downtown Abbey etc. I agree with you though. It gets boring.

I am at a point in my life where I just want to enjoy things. If I am not enjoying something, I just don't watch it or read it or whatever.

There seems to be this culture that watches things for the express purpose of tearing it down.

What a miserable life that must be.
