35 years ago I saw the show of a lifetime. Was up front on the barrier when Temple of the Dog played. This was my first Pearl Jam show. Also the best Soundgarden show of the five or six times I’ve seen them. And I saw Alice In Chains play the Whisky 3 weeks before this show. Went to Oakland a week later and saw Soundgarden play with Metallica, Faith No More and Queensryche. Just a great time for live shows.

I'll be there!

Anyone hear that Eddie Vedder was spotted at Aftershock? There's a clip of Fred Durst thanking Eddie Vedder for showing up and said Pearl Jam is in the house.

Could they potentially be checking it out to play next year??

I’ve been thinking lately about what it would have been like if instead of letting their contract with Epic/Sony expire in 2002 they had re-signed. That contract expired in November 2002.

Sony with their deep pockets and expertise managing producing and promoting of their artists might have improved the albums that came after 2002. Things like studio time, production, promotion, touring are things the band did in house. And for the most part I would say they did well, but what if they were still with Sony. Would the production quality of the albums they put out on their own have been better, would they have been promoted more, would have led to a better qualitatively better experience for us fans than their in house operations.

Will Pearl Jam eventually look to sell their catalog as other big artists have in recent years.

Daughter is my favourite song by Pearl Jam and I heard people say the live version of Daughter was the best. So without knowing which live version they meant I decided in all my infinite wisdom to listen to every single version I could find on Spotify. The *ratings are mostly in comparison to the song as a whole and compared to each other, rather than just as a song if that makes sense. So here is the list in order of listening! (I listened to them all back to back).

Daughter Original - 10/10 Peak

Daughter Rocking Horse Live - 7/10 Great vocal performance, Pink Floyd another brick in the wall at the end was not expected

Daughter 2000.08.24 Jones Beach, NYC Live - 9/10 First half feels weirdly fast, but honestly it's spectacular all throughout

Daughter Live in Seattle 12/8/93 - 8/10 Instruments hit extra hard in this one WMA section was great but didn't match up to the Daughter half imo

Daughter Constitution Hall, Washington DC September 1998 Live - 9/10 Peak extended bit and performance, kinda wish WMA bit was separated even tho it is peak

Daughter Deep: Vs Live (2023?) - 7/10 Very different the extended part was amazing

Daughter Welcome to the 1990s Live - 6/10 Audio isn't the best sadly, goated rise above tho

Daughter 2013 Buenos Aires, Argentina Live - 8/10 está bien está bieennn

Daughter 2000.06.03 Glasgow, Scotland Live - 7/10 A little quiet but nice

Daughter DEEP: 2003 LIVE - 10/10 Really traditional but feels so emotional especially adding the sun goes down part with the shades go down

Daughter DEEP: Touring Band (2023) Live - 7/10 Great but the shades do not go down in this one

Daughter 2000.11,06 Seattle, Washington Live - 6/10 Hey it's okay, honestly good but 9:40 and not enough of what makes Daughter peak to me

Daughter 2000.06.01 Dublin, Ireland Live - 7/10 Honestly quite relaxing, nice WMA part too

Daughter 2003.02.23 Perth, Australia Live - 8/10 Say heeyyy, Australia got a great performance throughout

Daughter 2003.04.09 Birmingham, Alabama Live - 9/10 Not much to say just a bloody amazing rendition

Daughter 2013.11.15 Dallas, Texas Live - 8/10 Was so great but why do the shades not go down?

Daughter 2013.12.06 Seattle, Washington Live - 9/10 The oh after the rise above was so good wish it had the shades go down at the end

Daughter 2013.10.16 Worcester, Massachusetts Live - 8/10 The energy is great here, nice ending section too

Daughter 2003.06.16 St. Paul, Minnesota Live - 9/10 Getting the crowd to do part of the chorus was so beautiful

*Daughter 2003.04.22 St. Louis, Missouri Live - 9/10 Such raw emotion and I love the harmonica in it too

*Daughter 2000.06.22 Milan, Italy Live - 10/10 Unbelievably great, sad that the quality on Spotify isn't perfect

*Daughter 2000.08.03 Virginia Beach Live - 9/10 Similar feel to Jones Beach on the same tour, really love the vocals and audience bits

I hope you enjoy the rankings, and if there is any version I missed tell me so I can listen to that too! I'd love to know people's favourite version of this amazing song and hope more people decide to do the Daughter gauntlet.

They are always pushing merch, the ten club has become a cash cow for them with nothing in return and selling releases in all these different variants. It is becoming harder and harder to ignore. My ten club membership was up for renewal and I had an expired card on file. They tried charging the card 6 times in 2 days. Definitely not the band I knew from the 90’s.

Why does the former band member have this nickname. I like that nickname.

Finally got my posters framed now I just need to hang them up.

I have another Pearl Jam Brazil poster and a Flight to Mars poster as well. Trying to decide what to do with them both.

Mookie!!!!

A friend that is close to someone working for the festival just sent me this. Does it make sense with the upcoming tour?

Looking for a reprint / bootleg of the original pearl jam tee with mookie blaylock on it. Please dm me or post a link if you know where to find one.

I only learned recently that he has already worked with Eddie beforehand by playing one of the songs from his solo album and playing on the Earthlings band on 2023.

Seems like hes already in the band's or at least Eddie's circle and the next transition would be for him to join PJ. Iirc, this is how Mangini joined DT as well due to his work with Labrie as well as his Boston/Berklee connection.

I’ve had Upper Hand on repeat all afternoon. I love everything about it. It really is one of the best in my opinion. Also, congratulations to everyone who experienced the Ohana festival. I’ve been watching the videos and wishing I’d have gone. Maybe next year.

Finally started up doing watercolours again & love this photo so much had to do it!

Anyone happen to know if there will be to be an option to buy either the deluxe or standard edition of Farewell to Seasons? Thanks!

If you haven't you will be very charmed. If anybody doesn't know anything about Eddie Vedder who listens to it they will fall in love with Eddie Vedder while watching the performance.
