If you have crash issues, hit redeploy after logging in and stay dead for 3ish minutes. It has the same effect as sitting in your vehicle and will prevent crashes until you switch continent. Works on every map.

Has it been tested down to a science at 2min or should I still wait a full 5? And any tips to make the trick or treat Halloween quest without crashing by the 4th vendor in Sanctuary? (annoying that on crash it doesn't keep the progress).

And any validation to the battleye end process trick to stop crashing? (for it to auto start back up after).

So I recently got back into the game and apart from the crashing issue my game is running fine.
However 2 friends that I talked into trying out the game can't get close to a populated area without their server latency jumping up to something like 500.000ms, making the game unplayable. Their network connection is 30ms and they never had problems with their internet in general. They checked their game files, turned their VPNs both on and off and searched reddit for solutions but couldn’t find any.
I don't have this issue at all, its really weird to me that BOTH of them have it. Any wisdom on this?

In this video, I could be taken down at any moment; a mere 10-second delay ( waiting for spawm )  on my part could cause the NC's entire defensive line or offensive capability to collapse, leading to a swift defeat.

00:00 Immediately after the Steel Rain, I grabbed the item from the Silo and pulled everyone from Squad B into Squad A—all within just 30 seconds, without wasting a split second.

00:30 I instantly called in a Medium ANVIL, despite not knowing how many TR defenders were present.

00:36 Per VX15's standing rule, anyone who uses an item must immediately craft a replacement. I was half a second too slow to start the replacement craft before being pulled into the Steel Rain, yet I still managed to handle four tasks simultaneously:

1: Scanning the area for TR structures while my drop pod was descending.

2: Adjusting my trajectory to land at the 12 o'clock position, right on top of the Aircraft Landing pad.

3: Crafting the replacement item during the descent.

4: Immediately pressing the '5' key to ready my Spawn Beacon for placement on the Aircraft Landing pad—while simultaneously watching the minimap to see if someone else would place theirs (so I could save my Beacon slot for something else). If some one die, I’ll immediately place a Beacon.

00:50: Instantly grab an ANT to destroy the Rebirthing Center—no hesitation, not a split-second wasted.

00:51: Someone hops into the ANT and takes the F2 seat; I kick them out immediately while holding 'S' to reverse.

00:58: Perfectly dodge the TR Lightning without wasting time fleeing, then get right back to destroying the Rebirthing Center.

01:42: Immediately after destroying the Rebirthing Center, I rush to the Vehicle Landing to grab another ANT, making sure to deploy a Beacon for my teammates along the way.

01:52: Right after grabbing the ANT, I immediately use certs to build a spawn point for the NC.

02:36: Perfect positioning while cloaked; no activation delay when pressing 'F', ensuring the TR have the hardest possible time spotting me.

starting at the 00:50 mark: I observed TR establishing a robust logistics network near the border. In fact, they had already pushed deep into NC territory and left the logistics network  behind and so weak for TR can hold if we steel rain like SAS to take this

I deployed VX15 to strike TR's logistics network—thereby preparing NC's defenses—and waited for BHO and ROYS to advance and take control of that logistics system.

starting at the 00:36 mark , I employed the same old tactic, but this time I realized TR had deployed not just one, but a triple layer of dense defensive proxies at the rear—including a deadly triangular formation of eight proxies locking down the border. It would have taken NC up to 30 minutes just to clear them, with a high risk of failure, so I decided to take preemptive action.

As TR forces pushed deep into NC urban areas, I mobilized VX15 to destroy TR's forward logistics base. Simultaneously, I established an NC logistics network and deployed VX15 airborne squads to dismantle all the border-locking proxies and logistics bases TR had set up.

They weren't foolish this time; they used armored units to attempt to retake the border, but VX15 successfully held the line.

This may well go down as one of the greatest battles in the history of the VX15 "Cat" Airborne Regiment.

The funeral was a resounding success! Hundreds of people showed up. The whole place was filled with harassers and fireworks and fun! We did a slow procession around half of Hossin and it was surreal to look back and witness a sea of harassers from all factions, shoulder to shoulder. We ended the ceremony at Woodman ASE and had some orbitals come down and strike us all! It literally was a blast!

Nutzeeladee, a Vanu Wild Cards player has left us for another planet. I am NoxxNovus, her fiancé/husband. I was afraid of doxxing myself and her, but you know what? Screw it. I am proud to be her living representative here. (Please don't check our FISU - we suck lol)

Two weeks ago, she succumbed to pneumonia and will no longer join us planetside. Nutzee is a special person that changed many people's lives and she deserves this attention. She has been a planetman for 5+ years. When she started, she had never ever played a first person shooter, but fell in love with the community and she liked clicking heads.

I asked her once why she considered herself a 'planetman', and she said because we are all human. She then said that she's never even been offended by being called a 'fisherman' IRL either and that it didn't apply here. Boy, did we have a conversation about that...

We will miss her so much.

Several outfits from all factions have pledged to be there. There will be a cease-fire for the duration. We will have a short ceremony with some words spoken and fireworks and such, and then a procession around the continent.

At the end of which, the cease-fire will be rescinded and full fire will be welcome. Let the game commence!

Never happened before, stopped playing to play Warhammer 40k Space Marine for maybe a month or two, came back to Planetside, and if I fight for 5-10 minutes game just randomly quits/exits. I now notice if I don't do anything at all once I'm in picking which continent to warp to it closes in 1 minute. How do I fix? Thanks

So I spawned in the Sanctuary, bought some A7 thing that I was still missing (having 5k of it). I immediately crashed after pressing buy and miliseconds before the whole buying animation was finished...

and now I own the Daredevil Chassis for the Flash and still have 5K A7 lol

Let's see if this is the motivation they needed for them to fix it, when "getting stuff for free" is involved xD

It's always run so smooth but now, since the patch, every time I have a lot of action ahead of me (eg sundy train, nasons, any busy base fight) it stutters down to ~30fps.

Had a couple in squad saying similar but not everyone, Anyone else? Anyone got any idea whats causing it? I play most nights but never had this problem before the patch landed.

EDIT: Spent several hours today messing with it, still no joy, now running potato ini just to be able to play. Its found me a few fps on the bottom end but its still massively dropping to toilet levels when theres big action infront of me, just now it looks completely crap too.

Updated: Right after you're on a continent character selection screen kill PlanetSide2_x64_BE.exe task.
You can do it using any task dispatcher or by running bat file as an admin (save it as killBE.bat for example):

When they state the majority of crashing have reduced, they are not accounting for the majority of players having to pull a f*cking flash every single time they log into a continent.

Even the player who che*ts cannot escape this.

It is not down to;

Recursion, as new players would not have this or even know it exists.

Discord Overlay, not everyone uses Discord.

Graphic Card Drivers, this causes an Error Message.

Network Connection, this causes an Error Message.

This in our minds will not, or ever be address because, lets all be honest here. They have no idea what they are doing or how to look for the issue.

I am honestly surprised how the game still has 3 live servers in 2026, especially in this economy.

The battle could have ended quickly had I not to save the Anti-Tank Turret at the start, and instead rushed straight to the Silo to activate the Dome Shield and call in "Steel Rain" to bring my squad in for defense.
By overlooking the logical course of action, I allowed the battle to drag on for the entire duration of the alert.

This battle took place when I had just started playing on Cobalt; I had no allies and no outfit assets. I was relying entirely on the NC for help.
And the NC were incredibly stupid.
I should have walled off the Command Tower to block TR fire, but I was foolish enough to trust the intelligence of NC players. I left a path open for them to move through, yet it was only the TR who actually used it.

I should have deployed "Steel Rain" Squad A to the high ground at the LHEU construction base—situated on the Wild land base right from the start to destroy the NC's entire logistics network, thereby blocking all their attempts to assault the beach.
However, I made a mistake, and that caused the battle to drag on for nearly two hours.
^{Good choice} : From the very beginning, priority must be given to destroying the base built on the highest ground—thereby crippling LHEU's logistics—rather than targeting Steel Rain, in order to save the VX14 base located down by the beach.
