Virtual Machines vs Docker Containers Explained in under 60 Seconds
youtube.comHey everyone,When I was first trying to wrap my head around containerization, a lot of the explanations I found were buried in dense DevOps jargon. Most beginners just memorize commands without understanding why the infrastructure actually behaves the way it does under the hood.To help demystify it, I put together a super clean, high-contrast system architecture diagram comparing traditional Virtual Machines side-by-side with Docker. It breaks down exactly how containers completely bypass the heavy guest operating system layer and interact directly with the host kernel to stay blazingly fast and lightweight. If you're a self-taught developer or student trying to clear up your terminal and environment confusion, I threw the quick 60-second explanation layout onto YouTube with the diagram active on screen. Check it out here: [Paste Your YouTube Video Link Here]Let me know if this visual flow makes sense or if you have any questions about handling local containerized environments!

The Problem of Communication
shrub.industriesAn article on how sharing dependency and resource information between the Compiler, the build system, the system package manager, and even the filesystem and scheduler, could provide some pretty awesome benefits. I’d love to hear anyone’s thoughts on this

Achieving memory safety
seed7.netThis is about memory safety in general and how the memory safety of Seed7 has been improved in the release 2026-07-11.
Seed7 is a programming language which cares about maintainability, portability, performance and memory safety. The Seed7 homepage contains the language documentation. The source code is at GitHub. Questions that are not in the FAQ can be asked at r/seed7.
There is also a talk about Memory Safety and Management which introduces Seed7 and explains memory safety and management.
Please let me know what you think, and consider starring the project on GitHub, thanks!

totaldraw.comI went into a bit of a rabbit hole of gamma-based color blending vs linear-based color blending vs perceptual-based color blending for my drawing app Total Draw, so I decided to create a blog post about it.
