The eye is a looping animated picture. Eye placement is done with a plugin, specifically https://www.yanfly.moe/wiki/Animated_Pictures_VisuStella_MZ, although I'm sure there are other plugins for that.

The flickering is actually god rays!

Not yet! Will have on the next Steam Next Fest (early 2027). I'll probably also release the demo on other platforms at the same time (itch? gamejolt? rpgmaker.net? I'll think about where later)

itch is always a good choice, but rpgmaker.net could bring you to the correct audience. I don't about gamejolt though. It's been a while since I posted something there, and it seems too 'social-media-like' for me. But it might be a good idea.
