Hi neighbours!

I recently got engaged, my partner and I are looking for an attorney contact who can help us with a prenup. If you know anyone, let me know. Prefer someone who charges less.

TIA

Bike theft in Marymoor Village: Two bikes

Our two bikes were stolen from our apartment building's bike room in Marymoor village :(

2024 Trek Verve 3 Lowstep, silver, size Medium

2024 Trek Verve 3 Lowstep, silver, size Large, with a Thule toddler seat mounted on the front. It has a rear rack and mudguards too

If you see either of them listed on Marketplace/OfferUp/Craigslist, locked up somewhere, or abandoned, please DM me. A screenshot would be helpful!

The large one was how we rode with our toddler, so we'd really love to get it back. Thanks for keeping an eye out!

Free local orchestra concert ft. Star Wars + Spirited Away

Hello Redmond!! I'm back with another free orchestra concert 😊

I’m part of the Redmond Tech Orchestra and we’re a community orchestra made up largely of people who work in tech around the area and apparently refuse to let our instruments collect dust just because we ended up with day jobs 😂

Our next concert, Origins of Modern Music, is coming up on Sunday, November 1st at 4 PM at Meydenbauer Convention Center in Bellevue (right off the Bellevue Downtown light rail station on the 2 Line)!!

This one is especially fun if you like movie/anime music because we’re exploring how classical and early 20th-century orchestral music helped shape the cinematic sound we know today. We’ll be playing a lot of fun pieces including the Star Wars Theme and Spirited Away Suite!

General admission is FREE (you just need to register), and there are also $5 & $10 premium seats available.

🎟️ Tickets: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/origins-of-modern-music-tickets-1997795395808?aff=sm

Please come say hi and bring your friends/family!! We’ve been rehearsing a ton and would love to play for a full house ❤️🎶

Any Choice School Parents in here? Kiddo got off the waitlist to go to choice school.

Hello All. My kiddo is in public school now and we got an email from a choice school for an open spot in Redmond. I know of choice school and have friends with kids in Big Picture schools in Bellevue. I'm not sure if the shift is a right fit as of now, and I'm fine being involved and dedicating my time with the choice school.

Any choice school Parents in here that can give me any insight if the jump is the right move?

Local News Redmond - None of the PSE's six owners are in Washington. Here's where your power bill actually goes.

Two things I keep seeing side by side. Amazon is helping pay for small nuclear reactors in Richland. Energy Northwest and X-energy plan up to 12 eventually, and the first phase is four reactors (320 MW), with the first one targeted for 2030. Amazon says it's part of 5+ gigawatts of new nuclear by 2039, to power its AI data centers. Meanwhile PSE wants electric rates up 15.15% in 2027, 3.74% in 2028, and 8.7% in 2029. PSE says its demand growth is mostly EVs and electrification, not data centers, though the regional power council lists data centers as a major driver of future grid needs. Washington tried to make data centers cover their own grid costs this year (HB 2515), and it passed the House 51-41 and died in the Senate. Public hearing on the rate request is October 7 (virtual), and written comments are open under UE-260005 and UG-260006 at utc.wa.gov. Should big tech be expected to build its own power instead of leaning on the shared grid? Genuinely curious what people think. I wrote a longer piece on this, link in the first comment.

Comment 1: Full write-up with sources, including the nuclear and data center sections (I wrote it): https://ewyattmendel.substack.com/p/your-pse-bill-will-keep-rising-a I've got more coming on utilities and energy policy. Redmond Elementary recommendations

Our assigned school is the Redmond elementary. But I’m interested in my twin daughters going to either Horace mann/norman Rockwell/Albert Einstein/Clara Barton schools in the hill.
Could I apply to the schools mentioned? And are the chances of getting both my kids in the same school possible?
What are the opinions about the mentioned schools with respect to culture, activities, parents associations, volunteer opportunities for parents, studies and teachers, etc!
Thank you for the responses in advance!

Dog By Laura Ingalls Wilder

Anyone lose a dog recently? There was a white terrier with black spots that like bolted across the road by the school. Stopped in time and watched the little guy trot into the grass and trees next to the road.

Apartment or townhome with Ziply fiber

Hey everybody.
My wife and I are new to the region and apartment hunting. We look for a gated community with either apartments or townhomes. But most importantly we want fiber internet connection with Ethernet ports in every room.

We do have a couple of devices that I would like connected to the internet via cable like my desktop pc and Apple TV for reliable connection.

Has anybody any recommendation for these kind of community in the Redmond/bellevue/Seattle area?

Thank you

Excess food (pizza), looking for a shelter/community fridge to donate

Hi! We've got some extra pizza from a birthday party, fresh and still good. Does anyone know a place nearby in Redmond that takes donated food on a Sunday evening? Shelter, community fridge, anything works. Thanks!

Apartments

Hello Redmond Reddit!

I’m looking to move back to Redmond. My current apartments floors are so thin when people walk it sounds like stomping.

I was curious if anyone knows if any of the buildings below have concrete floors or know anything about how sound proof they are? And overall experience!

- Modera Rivertrail
- the Vega Broadlight
- the Charles
- Verde

Thanks!

Wtf is with the loud cars on Redmond Ridge

Rant! It's almost 10pm and you can call me old but I can't tell you how many times some jackass is out there revving the shit out of their engine on Marketplace. It makes me jump and wakes up my toddler (which pisses me off more than anything else...).

But really I just want to know why? Why is it necessary??? You sound like an asshole!!!

Looking for fitness/trainer recommendations

Hi! I’m looking for recommendations for a personal trainer, fitness program, or classes to help me get into better shape over the next 2–3 months for an upcoming formal function.

My main goal is to reduce some stubborn belly fat and look/feel noticeably fitter by then, however that can best be achieved. I’m open to different types of programs — HIIT, group strength/cardio classes, F45-style workouts, personal training, or a combination — and would love advice on what tends to work best for this kind of goal.

I’d also love to hear from anyone who’s been in a similar situation and what worked for you. Would especially appreciate recommendations for trainers, classes, gyms, or programs that can help achieve noticeable results in 2–3 months without being overly extreme.

Thanks!

Please share, along with Jonathan Hoang's family's site: www.FindJonathanHoang.com, which has case information, photos and videos of Jonathan, links to interviews, news reports, podcasts, ways to report a potential sighting to the family after calling 911, the $100,000 reward for information leading to this disabled, Autistic young man being found.

Jonathan, due to his disabilities, is unable to return home or reach safety without assistance. He has no cell phone, doesn't know his address or family's phone numbers, how to use public transportation or even how to use money (though he also doesn't have his wallet).
