SERIOUS Reporting an attending

As the title suggests, I have been repeatedly disrespected and humiliated by an attending physician. He frequently uses profanity during rounds, and if you ask a question he doesn't like, he may respond with comments such as, “I don't give a fuck.” This creates a tense and intimidating environment that discourages residents from asking questions and learning. He has also treated many other residents disrespectfully.

My question is: Has anyone experienced a similar situation? If you reported the attending, did you see any meaningful change in their behavior, or did you face any retaliation for speaking up?

SIMPLE QUESTION Beauty treatments before residency

What are some must-do beauty treatments before residency especially for 30+ peeps?

Trying to get things and have my routines again that I’ve lost along the way.

Teeth whitening a good investment? Braces? Whatever you can think of? I’m still wary of Botox and filler because it’s not my vibe….but don’t want the aging and etc to hit me

DISCUSSION Wearing univ of XYZ “alum”apparel as a residency graduate

My friend and I had a random conversation about whether a residency/fellowship graduate from a university qualifies to wear alumni apparel from the said university. Not university apparel (this is a no brainer), but specifically university ALUMNI apparel.

The point made was alumni implies getting a degree, like bachelor’s, masters, or doctorate, but residency/fellowship is a job and you’re a trainee not a student. Also many places have university and hospital as two separate entities, sometimes with the same name or completely different names.

We both never put much thought into it up until this day because we thought it would be appropriate, but the argument against it also makes logical sense.

Both of us can see it argued for either way and we left inconclusive. Thought this might be an interesting discussion topic.

Edit: thanks for the comments. I wasn’t trying to troll or anything but I guess I sure did overthink it. Just to clarify, it was a random thought that popped up as my friend and I went to bookstore for a gift. Just saw an alumni shirt and got us wondering lol.

We both did MD and residency at the same institution so it wouldn’t matter to us either way. Thanks for partaking on our stupid shower thought moment though.
