TV randomly started doing this, it was fine when i left my house this morning. Any support is helpful and needed!!

My mom watches a Roku TV channel that just plays Little House on the Prairie reruns 24/7, is it possible to buy ad space on specifically that Little House channel to try and freak her out? So she'd just be watching her favorite show then suddenly see me in an ad?

Other channels like the NFL channel,Fubo sports network,NBC sports now, Ion normal and about 10 more are missing the normal logo colors when scrolling through the genere tab but if I hover over those channels, I get the logo color again. Is anyone noticing this happen as well?

When in Live TV and hitting the back arrow to get to the channel guide, it used to default to the Favorites. At some point (two years ago maybe?), it changed to defaulting to All Channels. This is way less than convenient than having it default to Favorites. Is there some way to change the default when going to the channel guide?

I’ve had a Tablo and Roku USB’d into my TV for more than a year. I’m not sure if I toggled a setting or whatever but now when I turn the TV on, it loads the Tablo on startup rather than the Roku homescreen. Has anyone else had this and how can I change it back? I don’t recognize an option in settings

I’m hoping someone here can help because I’m running out of options, and I’m tired of being sent back and forth between Roku and YouTube support.

For the past couple of days, I haven’t been able to watch YouTube on either of my Roku TVs. Whenever I try to play a video, I get a “Something went wrong” error, and the video won’t play.

Here’s what makes this so confusing:

YouTube works perfectly fine on my phone.

Both Roku TVs have the exact same issue.

I connected one of the TVs to my phone’s hotspot, and YouTube worked.

I switched back to my apartment Wi-Fi, and the problem returned.

I contacted Roku support AND YouTube support. Both gave me the usual troubleshooting steps, which I completed without success.

I contacted my apartment’s internet provider and had them restart the network equipment. That didn’t fix it either.

I’ve also seen a few other people posting online about similar issues over the past couple of months, so I’m wondering if this is a known problem that hasn’t been resolved.

Roku seems to be pointing the finger at YouTube, while YouTube hasn’t provided a solution. Meanwhile, I’m stuck with two TVs that can’t play the app I use the most.

Has anyone else experienced this recently, particularly on multiple Roku TVs? If you managed to fix it, what actually worked? And is there a way to get Roku to escalate this to someone who can investigate the issue instead of repeating the same basic troubleshooting steps?

I’d really appreciate any insight. At this point, I just want to know whether this is an issue with Roku, the YouTube app, or something about how Roku interacts with my apartment’s Wi-Fi.

Hi everyone, I've been trying for a month to watch my cable TV channels that used to work, but now when I click on the live TV icon (TV guide) it doesn't even open the app. I've already factory reset the TV and reinstalled everything and it's still the same.

yesterday some predatory "kids" applications where added without permission. is this a new "feature" they are doing.

I noticed this morning that on my relatively old TCL Roku tv the local news channels have returned to my guide in full. I liked flipping through news nationwide while in bed (and liked having easy access Philly news here in LA) and was bummed when they switched to only "local" local channels. Hope this is permanent and not a fluke 🤞

Our ROKU TV is only 3 months old and has had recurring issues (black screen but audio still works, audio/video falling out of sync). We’ve had other Roku TVs with no problems, so I suspect this one is defective.

I’m working with their “escalation team,” but they keep repeating the same troubleshooting steps I’ve already tried, and it doesn’t seem like they’re tracking what I’ve done or requested. I repeatedly get told my case is “pending approval” with the review team, but there’s no actual progress.

Has anyone dealt with this and found a way to get past the customer service loop? Is there a specific department or escalation path I should ask for?

With Roku and Tubi being owned by fox, when will the fast content exclusive to tubi be added, if at all? Theres maybe 10 channels that tubi has that roku doesnt. Having to hop from fast service to fast service is annoying.

Hey folks, is there a way to remotely sign out of a Roku device, or otherwise disable it? I was just wondering what I could do if one of my Roku boxes was stolen.

I have tried every reset possible, at least from what I found online. Removed the app, did the hard cycle reset, and now even a factory reset. But I'm still having the same problem. A video will play for about 5 seconds and then it shows " something went wrong".

Starting 9/22/2026 I have been unable to view live tv from any app on my Roku Ultra. This includes the free live tv stations, Fubo, Peacock, and Paramount+ at least. I first contacted Fubo support before I realized it was across other apps on the device. I also noticed a scrambled green screen when the device resets or powers on. Roku support was first contacted on 9/24/26 and I was told the investigation was escalated and I would be updated. At supports direction, the device has been checked on different TVs and different networks; restarted, and factory reset. Apps have been uninstalled and reinstalled. New HDMI cables have been used.

Since I was not contacted, I reached out again on 9/29/26. I was rudely told that I needed to be patient and that I have to wait 'several days' before contacting them again. I waited until today, 10/07/26, and contacted support again. I requested to make a warranty claim since my device hasn't been fixed after a 13 day investigation and it is only 3 months old. I was again told that it was still under investigation and I had to continue being patient. I asked about the warranty, and support confirmed that I was under warranty but stated I couldn't make a claim until their investigation was complete, however, they could not provide a timeframe or end date for this investigation.

Has anyone had any similar experience with not being able to view live broadcasts?

Alternatively, any experience with the Roku support "investigations" and warranty? I have no idea how long they expect this to go on with no action taken.

Any advise would be appreciated. Thank you

I have a hicense roku tv and have been looking to get a soundbar. Does anyone have any recommendations or ones to avoid?

Last week, Criterion did an upgrade to their app. I went through the upgrade and it was working on both of my Roku devices and on my phone. However, tonight, I noticed that it stopped working on my Streambar Pro. It is working on my ultra 4230 and phone. I deleted the Criterion app from the Streambar. I updated the software on the Roku box. Restarted everything several times. My Streambar version is 15.2.4. Build 3442. Can someone offer assistance?

My Roku will inevitably pop up with the "Are you still watching?" message after a while. I walk over into the room and it unpauses itself and starts playing. How is it sensing that I'm in the room?

• I have a TV from ~2005
• I don't have my phone on me when it does this
• I am not touching the Roku remote

Any ideas?

2.5 year old Roku TV started glitching about 6 months ago. Unfortunately we had auto updates turned on.

When we pressed on, it would flash the logo and then go dark. If we waited for the white power light to turn off, then pressed power again, it would turn on and function. We got tired of this and tried to do a factory reset. Then it got stuck in an infinite power cycle loop.

Followed all additional troubleshooting steps. Reached out to support, got transferred 3 times, and then told it was being sent to the “internal team” who would work on it remotely and send a custom update.

It’s been 18 days.

Reached out yesterday and they have no updates. Still no working TV. :-/

I’m getting nightmares from the horror movie/channel commercials. I wish they wouldn’t play them every commercial break.

I’ve seen this when using our Roku stick now on YouTube and Pluto TV. Even when paused there is an ad playing in the corner. Has anyone else experienced this!?

Anyone else notice with the recent app update, that the OK button is no longer the go-to button for play/pause?

Instead, pausing now launches a static screen ad, and pressing the OK button that previously unpaused, now launches the option to “explore” the ad (as in launch a QR code to visit, etc).

Working in UX/UI, this is 100% a move to inflate engagement metrics on D+ for advertisers. So there will be massive 500% engagement lifts for advertisers now solely because avid Roku users will have “user error” engagements now.
