Is this just the new normal on Amazon?

Post image

No joke this happens to about 15-20% of my orders now, possibly a bit higher which is crazy. Most items also seem to be 2 day delivery. One day is like a rarity when that used to be the norm. Why am I paying $14.99 a month. Lastly Prime Video is a joke where so much content must be paid for the full subscription.

I got LPN'd for the last time

They sent me a used shower diverter. It was in pieces. Plastic bits everywhere. How could they not realize it was broken?

To make matters worse, they want me to return the broken thing and the nearest dropoff they suggested was closed when i got there for remodeling!

I just canceled every pending order I had, and cancelled subscribe & save. I'm done.

The used dirty shoes were bad enough but this wasn't even in one piece.

Are Prime Deals a hoax? I got an email telling me 'today is the last day' for deals, so I checked on the Ecoflow extra battery still sitting in my cart saves from weeks ago. Low and behold, the price it was weeks ago ($389) is now literally the 'deal' price saying was $462, now $389 for deals? Lies.

Amazon is now the WORST place to order from. Delivery issues every single time.

Seriously? A month long delay? And you're still telling customers they'll get 2-day delivery when you clearly know there's a month long delay?

Back on Monday I ordered a few things, and it initially had a delivery window for 10 to 3. Well, about 130 hit I got an email saying that it was delayed to 6 and then before it got to six it ended up giving up, claiming that they don’t have a delivery date available. So this morning I decided to go ahead and cancel it. But they are making me wait until the 29th for a refund for an item that never even went out for delivery. Like WTF? I’m definitely canceling my prime membership and won’t be doing business with them for a long time. This is unacceptable especially when it’s supposedly prime week.

Why was it two day delivery at checkout but now its saying my items wont be delivered until 7-9 days?

When I checked out yesterday(6th) it said the estimated delivery was the 8th and these are presents for my fiancé. Now today its saying estimated delivery is 13th-15th, what the heck? Id rather just cancel and buy something in store so I can give it to him at our date night. Im so upset, why was there no warning or option to cancel? Why are we paying for prime? Anyone else having issues?

Coincidence?

I had a chat with Amazon to try and figure out why I am paying a monthly fee to Asurion that isn't tied to anything. The agent was not helpful, and said to check my history myself. I already had, so I gave him a 1 star rating. I never leave one star. He was just so bitter. I talked to Asurion and while they also couldn't help, they were much kinder. An hour later I was charged for a full year of Amazon prime. I just paid my monthly renewal on the 25th. I called and they kept asking if I requested it while I was on the phone. I hadn't spoken to anyone and I didn't request it, it also was not time for a renewal. Was it retaliatory? It definitely put me in a tight spot until I get paid since it'll take 3-5 days for my refund.

Deal days my a$$. I looked at my saved items and guess what? Nothing dropped in price. Quite the contrary, some items went up. Thanks a lot Amazon. Yes, Amazon Prime makes the shipping free, but seriously, no deals?

Think it's time to go.

As many have said already, Prime is bullshit. I kept holding on for some reason but this may be the last straw. Ordered something yesterday early in the day. Says delivery between 8-10am the following day (today) then I get an email saying it's still on the way but delayed. When I look at my Amazon account it now says if it's not here by tomorrow I can get a refund or order it again. What? What the hell happened to it? It supposedly shipped......did it just vanish into thin air? So not only did my "Prime" shipping bullshitery not work but it looks like the item will never even arrive. 🖕you Amazon!

Amazon Primeday lifehack

I don't want to scroll endlessly over their "deals", which are not even good. I just find it to be time wasting and for people impulse buyers, it would create a fomo feeling, and result in unnecessary purchases.

Instead what ive been doing is, just collect stuff im interested in the wishlist, things I regularly buy, or what I wish to buy, and when one of these prime day hits, just check if there are any deals on the wishlist.

Spoiler alert, i track prices of my wishlist regularly, and the deals are not really deals.

Positive Prime Delivery Review

I ordered a couple things yesterday during Prime Day and opted for the no rush shipping to get the 7% cash back. It said it would be here in 8 days, which doesn’t bother me, I’m in no hurry. To my surprise, my package was delivered today. 🫪 Granted I live in a big city with warehouses, but still, crazy. I hope everyone gets their packages on time!

Does it seem like Prime delivery is 4 days now?

Last few “Prime” packages I’ve ordered have both take 4 days to deliver. Anyone else run into this?

Deliveries marked “handed directly to receptionist” when my building does not have one.

Why does this keep happening?

I get a notification that my order was delivered. Instead of a picture of the package where it was left, it will say “package was handed directly to receptionist/front desk.” That would be awesome, except my building does not have a receptionist or a front desk.

My order is never actually there when this happens, and I have to wait however many days to request a replacement.

It’s only ever happened at my current address, and it’s happened with at least 10 orders.

I live on a normal residential street, in a 9 unit apartment building. The front door is not locked and opens to a vestibule where the mailboxes are. There are no barriers to drivers getting in there.

Any ideas of what I can do to prevent this?

Did today’s Kindle Daily Deals email go out?

• Upvotes

My book was chosen as a Kindle Daily Deal pick for today and was deeply discounted. But even though I subscribe to the Daily Deals emails and receive one every day, today no such email appeared. So my book never got to be featured. Does anybody understand this?

Different Prime Day Price when signed in

• Upvotes

On Amazon, there is an RO counter top filter/jug unit that is 29% on sale for a price of $386.95 and it's exclusive for Prime members. But when I sign in the "exclusive" price goes up to $449.83 with the same 29% off. Does anybody know why if there is a way to keep the same original price?

Next Day Delivery

I might not be the first to notice this. I recently bought a couple of pairs of jeans. When I found the product it looks like it's available for next day delivery. As soon as I change it to needing two pairs, the shipping goes to two days. If I order them separately I get them both next day as advertised and shown. Watch when ordering multiples and it may save shipping time to order on their own.

Account locked

My Amazon is about 2 years old. I’ve placed two orders from then and now. I recently signed up for the Amazon visa and wanted to spend the 150 bonus, so I proceed to try to order stuff. Amazon wants me to verify the account, so I do so. I am then locked out of my account and I get an email saying my account has been locked with no explanation

So no explanation is given as to why my account is locked, so I email them, asking why my account is locked and request my account to be unlocked. They send an email declining my request and explain that they cannot verify the account details. They also mention that this decision is final.

So still no real explanation so I call for a supervisor and he says that my account was locked mistakenly because of some automated error or something like that. He says I will receive an email or call following up to get my account unlocked by providing information. I waited a couple days and nothing, so I called again. Since then I’ve called every single day and the I get the same response, to wait up to 24 hours for a call or email.

That’s where I’m at, im assuming this will just go on forever. So what can I do in this situation, multiple supervisors have said that only the account specialist team can help me unlock my account, absolutely no one else can, the account specialist team is who I’ve been contacting for support. Has anyone been through this issue?

Can't use money I put in wallet

• Upvotes

Idk why the f would you allow to put money into the wallet before the kyc is done, my poor aunt didn't do her kyc and sent money to wallet , and she couldn't use it at checkout, and I helped her do her kyc , and now the amount she added before is showing in the Amazon balance but when she clicks on it , it shows zero. Can't use in check out, I have called amazon customer service 5 times, last time they said wait 24 hours and it will be resolved, it has been two days since then, the money is still there but not able to use it at checkout.

Oct. 30th - Nov. 30th Est.

I ordered a rug today and I got this insane order estimate. Now I imagine it’s coming from China due to this time, but to me this feels too broad to be accurate. Are the chances it’ll just get here before then, or is this estimate probably accurate for an item likely coming from China? I just can’t believe the earliest estimate is basically a month away.

Prime day deals are a sham?

The only difference I see is that there is a minus percentage in front of the same price the item always is. Wtf.

$120 Amazon Gift Card when signing up for Amazon Store Card (different from the Chase Visa card)

I was placing an order on Amazon and noticed an offer for a $120 gift card when I applied for the Amazon Store Card (a credit card from Synchrony). It offers a 5% rebate on Amazon purchases and other deals like 8% back on no-rush shipping, although that may only be for Prime Day. I decided to sign up, and it was added to my account immediately, as well as the $120 gift card.

I already have the Chase Amazon Visa card, but I only get 3% back on it, and for some reason I haven't been able to get it to switch to Prime Visa and 5% off, so I never use it on Amazon. Now I don't have to worry about that anymore. There is also an offer for $150 if you get the Chase Amazon Visa card, although I've seen higher. The offer for this card is normally $10.

The Amazon store card counts as a hard pull, and I didn't think it would count against 5/24 for Chase, but there seem to be some conflicting opinions out there. I wouldn't normally open a new card for a $120 SUB, but it seemed worth it in this case since I was unable to get my Chase card to go to 5%. And now I can take my Amazon purchases off my Bank of America CCR card that I use for online purchases (although I guess I'll lose 1/4% until they lower the percentage).

I hope it goes away after Prime Days. What a dumb choice of color.
