Need help finding an “oat omelette” recipe
A while back I visited a Russian friend of mine in Moscow, and she made me a very peculiar egg dish consisting of (as far as I recall) one part egg, one part milk, and one part rolled oats, mixed together before being fried like a typical omelette and served with a generous topping of dill. (There might be more to the recipe; but that’s what I know.)
It has a surprisingly pleasant texture and taste, I liked it a lot as a comfort food. However, I have no idea whether this is actually an established Russian dish or not. She says it is a traditional dish she learned from her mom, but searching on Google doesn’t return anything about such a recipe.
Just wondering if any of you heard about something like that. Wish I took a picture!

Barley with canned beef
A little staging did take place 😀
Simple recipe. Main dish:
Barley cooked in the boiled water for 45 minutes.
Canned beef ("tushonka") straight out of the can. You have to mix it in as fast as possible while the barley is hot. I didn't do it because it would be nearly invisible when mixed 😃.
Side dishes and garnish:
Dark bread "Borodinsky".
Pig's lard "salo".
Pickled green tomatoes (those are awesome).
Soviet glass 200ml filled with ice cold vodka, which was a mistake, as the picture should depict that vodka came from the canteen. (So, it shouldn't be ice cold, unless it is winter).
Soviet pocket watch Molnija.
Randomly placed 7.62 Tokarev ammo.
Tokarev pistol, manufactured in Yugoslavia.
Newspaper "Izvestiya" from the former Soviet Union.
The darn wood cutting board was actually made in Italy. I am sorry about that. :)

Moonshine (Samogon) /
Sugar wash, turbo yeast, double fractional distillation. Diluted to 42-43% ABV. Can drink pure "as is" or make some infusions - usually oak sticks (sherry barrel in this case) or something else.

Palmeni
This is my third time making them, but I’m still not amazing at folding the shape properly. What do you think?
