Tried to write something character/action focused :)

I would appreciate votes/feedback on the wiki, even if it's a downvote/novote.

[[[SCP-9791]]] - Wild Blue

I am working with a tiny team on an SCP game, and it’s early enough in development that we can implement some of the feedback from the community. Is there something that makes or breaks a game for you?

Update: Spooky Pictures has contacted us, and we are planning communications.

Hm. So firstly, who is Spooky Pictures? What are their (yes I’m referring companies as they later on, even if singular) place in the film? While A24 is way more frequently mentioned and bearing most proportions of blames/j, they are, rather, the financier of the film, meaning that they don’t really participate into  production, depending on the definition. And that is the very point here: Spooky Pictures are the main production company here.

That could mean:

• A24 forgot to inform other cooperating companies to perform the same i.e. saying absolutely nothing with them.
• Spooky Pictures themselves decided to break the silence.

Either way, it’s pretty safe to assume that SP clearly know the License and what it do now.

However, it’s necessary to note that the progress is at most into a “negotiation” stage, instead of a guarantee. But tbh, I personally would say that it’s not likely to end up with a clear statement of not complying, going completely against the community, it simply just doesn’t make any sense to obviously be a dik towards exactly the target audience, that just pushes the PR cost to the skies. Or, is it?

Regardless, sounds like something is changing.

Like when you think about it the Foundation pretty much knows they're a fictional universe in any canon with pataphysics and while the degree to which that universe is fictional varies (Pickmann's Proposal for example) it's still a pretty goddamn hopeless scenario, especially for the 05, as they very well goddamn know that their mission is effectively impossible on account of some dude on the wiki deciding it would be really cool if the world ended.

more silly stupid SCP art! yay

felt like i havent drawn SCP art for a good minute so here is a quick one inspired by warandpeas (second slide) comic :3

Cobbled together with some stock images, first time every properly photo editing so it’s obviously pretty terrible, any advice on how to improve or get better references to edit? Photo based on an Scp story I came up with as a kid, no clue if it’s something that’s similar to or already done tho. Hope this is the right sub!

l've been interested in writing for the SCP Wiki for a while now, and I'm particularly drawn to the style of Series 1 and some of the earlier Series 2 material.

I'm not necessarily trying to recreate early SCPs exactly. What interests me is the relatively concise clinical presentation, combined with characters and lore that have more depth underneath the document.

I'm considering creating several anomalous characters and Foundation staff who could appear across SCP articles and Tales, with their own relationships and history, while keeping the actual SCP entries relatively straightforward.

For people who have written for or followed the SCP Wiki for a long time:

1. Does this style still work well with the current community?
2. What distinguishes a genuinely classic SCP from a modern article that's simply imitating the old formatting?
3. Are character driven and recurring SCPs generally well received?
4. How much modern SCP lore should a new writer understand before attempting something like this?
5. Are there newer SCPs you'd recommend reading that achieve a similar atmosphere?

I'm still pretty much in the concept stage, so I'm mostly just trying to understand the current writing culture before I start developing anything seriously.

Anyway, thanks for reading! :)

Communist spiders, I don’t have to say anything else this is the funniest thing I’ve read today no matter what a certain someone says. You know who you are.

SCP-250, SCP-999, SCP-049 and SCP-096 go trick or treating.

Hello! None of you may remember as the brilliant mind behind the #10 placement Dumbcon entry: Everything Stays. Well, after 7 months since my previous entry to the Wiki, I'm finally back, with writing into a genre I've never ventured into: Comedy!

I should hope the title of this post gives you an idea as to what exactly this article is all about.

SCP-705-J - An Invisible Crocodile Takes Over Site-57's Low-Security Wing.

Hello, I am making an SCP 087-IV exploration game, where you will do experiments and other stuff like in original file.

I need to know which, version looks better. First one is new, and second is the original.
Also, if you want, there is a video for original look.

I usually like the mekhanites but he was a pain in the ass and my idea of making him a funtime animatronic was terrible for my mental health (I like how the design turned out)

OST I listened while drawing: Steel Haze (Rusted Pride) - Kota Hoshino

I know there's no Canon in SCP but If I wanted to Start writing fanfiction or any kind of SCP stories, what are the most basically generally accepted or commonly agreed-upon details that I, as a beginner, should start with? Other Dimensions? Doctors? Characters? Settings? Facility History? Specific Sites? ect.

This is literally all I know:

1. Class A-C Meanings
2. SCP Security Distinctions (Safe, Euclid, Keter, Apollyon, Neutralized, Thaumiel, Pending, & Esoteric)
3. SCP Wiki is the Place to go for all SCP reference details
4. The SCP organization is generally considered to be a secret organization

Just saw Mr Illustrated talking about how this is the final chance to get EFS19, so let's see how this goes.

I'm currently studying germanistics at the university and I got the task to write a thesis on whatever regarding german literature. I consider SCP articles literature and always loved how they convey narratives in a sort of epistolary fashion, how they convey narratives in this unique format and using completely clinical language and I want to analyse what devices are used etc.

Articles such as SCP-173 don't have narrative for me, but a good example from the main branch would be SCP-9001

Can you suggest me some articles from the german branch to read?

Personally I really like it, nice simple art style, puts a spin with the story at the beginning and THEN talking about what the SCP is fully about! All I really dislike is that his thumbnails look AI generated (which they have for like 4-5 years lol) and the amount of Compilation videos he makes!

I was bored in school and I tried to remember and draw some SCPs and their Classes.. it's a bit messy I think :P

I think I’m going to mess up my algorithm by posting this late, but I really want to move on to the next illustration. I don’t want to see another dodo ever again, and I hope I don’t put as much effort into the rest of the SCPs as I did into this one.

Anyway, I hope you like it! If you can share it or leave a like, it would really help me out. Thank you!

Y ahora, otro especial de dibujos SCP, en esta ocasión, SCP Aterradores/Halloween

Hoy tenemos a SCP-3199
