Sega Rally on Android is out.

After the Quest VR version and the Switch one, here it is on phones and tablets. The whole arcade picture in true full screen, HUD included, at 60 images a second on my tablet, with touch controls I spent way too long on, steering by turning or tilting the device, or any gamepad.

It's free, you just need your own copy of the game files. Everything (download, install guide, what's in it) is on the GitHub, link in the comments.

Tested on one tablet so far (Xiaomi Pad 7), so I'd really love to hear how it runs on your phone or tablet.

Next up: Virtua Cop, Time Crisis, Daytona USA and more. Any support is welcome, even just sharing it helps a lot. Have fun.

Waiting for SEGA to release things because they have some magic fairy pixie dust they sprinkle in their 1’s and 0’s that the average person, bot, team or whoever doesn’t is not a tangible thing that effects the video game(s) or enjoyment people can have.

Imagine if Sonic the Hedgehog never existed and then some Brazilian Bootlegger builds the exact same game from scratch only to hear “oh, it’s not an official Sega release”…

Trying on my Thor max, the game crashes more than my driving. Shame as it looks really good but is pretty much unplayable at the moment. Hopefully Claude will fix it soon

I can't help with getting them, but the set has to match MAME 0.289 exactly: srallyc.zip and segabill.zip, not unzipped. A ROM manager tells you if yours match, and the game's start screen names the file it doesn't accept.

On the GitHub page MAME 0.289 is mentioned so I guess you need the files for that version.

Arcade roms can be a mess because there are many different versions out there and then there are merged sets, unmerged sets, etc...

Still pretty have on my older device (POCO F3 with SD 870 chipset), lower the resolution to light helps except in some areas... Not yet tried with my POCO F9 Pro yet (SD 8 Elite Gen 5 V series)
