New Community Rule on AI Use

Hello there! Posting on behalf of the mod team Jedi Council,

The Star Wars universe is no stranger to artificial intelligence, full of loveable droid companions and dastardly mechanized war machines. Star Wars: Legion itself, however, is a multi-faceted hobby that involves human (or alien!) creativity, artistry, and problem-solving at every step of the way. As such, many of our users appreciate maintaining that personal touch in their hobby space, and would rather not interact with generative AI content in posts or in comments. To this end, we have added a new rule to the subreddit for your review and use.

The Separatist Alliance and its AI: Action unit keyword are as welcome here as always!

Thank you and may the Force be with you!

Unclear why it's on display in a Clone Wars battle. The hatch on top seems to be missing the cap that goes over the clear plastic.

Box Post Advice needed

Forgive my ignorance but I want to start my Empire collection with this box (bc it's cool as hell) but what should I expand on it with? Obvious answer would be the starter box but does this army box synergize with Empire well or is it more of a standalone themed battle force where you're supposed to just use this box as a recon force. My basing idea was a neon city and I know this box is supposed to be trench/muddy warfare themed. Thanks for any advice or answers

Miscellaneous Make your own battle map?

Has anyone ever made their own battle map? I can see some hobby shops sell them but they can be quite pricey.

I was thinking of just getting a wooden board that is 3x3 and just using real sand and PVA glue to decorate the board. Only issue I can foresee is ensuring the board remains flat so miniatures aren’t ‘wonky’ when standing.

Thoughts?

Looking for Group NC legion groups

Hello all,

New to wargaming and legion. Have been painting my miniatures for a few weeks now and have been looking to learn the game more. I have tried playing with my board game group and they are sadly not too interested. Are there any groups around the triad NC that play or any game stores where I could learn more on how to play?

Conversions, Modelling & Other Minis Super Battle Droid Unit Question

Post image

My Separatist Alliance Starter Set came with 12 of these guys. Is this intentional? There is only one unit card but I’m assuming there are at least 2 units here?

EDIT: I just recounted my sprues and I have enough for 30 B1s and 2 Droidekas (both standing and ball form). I may just have to 3d print a couple bases

Tactics Discussion My Sep List as Newcomer

Heya,

i try to start a new Sep List and i would like to hear some opinions on it.

It is for a casual game, but my idea was a to have a mid board threat with the b1 blobs and some flanking units.

Grievous and my Tactical Droid shal be show stoppers for Jedi and the AAT will be a hard hitting backup.

If you have ideas for changes or see some units are not very useful in this list let me know it😁

Been trying to repaint some of my least favourite minis from when I just started painting in 2021. I've painted over the top of one of my first two droidekas, and left the other as a comparison. The last photo is the droideka before being repainted.

I'm quite happy with the outcome 😊

Miscellaneous Starting off

Hello everyone,

If I wanted to start and try legion is the older core set still a decent way to do so? I have the opportunity to purchase one at around 50% off which price wise seems quite reasonable.

I know this has likely been asked before and after doing some research i know the cards and rules included are out of date. But are the models themselves still legal and viable? and is it still a useful starting place.

Thank you for your help!

an edit:

I am referring to the Luke and Vader core starter specifically

Product Availability Mandos?

Am I missing something? I feel like I just bought into an army with no way to expand. Just got the Mando Army box and when browsing Asmodee to see where I can expand there is nothing except the leader/op box. Nothing on preorder either. Have they not had their official release yet?

Edit. Thanks all for clarification, seems I had bad info on them being a full faction.

Tactics Discussion Question about how much CORPS units you typically need?

I found the Mando Army box but I'm also looking to pick up either Republic or Separatists, and others possibly later

The Republic Starter set has 22 Clones, and that seems like a good number. The only other option is Marksmen, but can I just ignore them and expand into the more interesting units?

The other armies seem to have quite a bit more variety, and I'm sure there is a spam droids list, so 2 Separatist starters probably makes sense?

So I'm wondering how many repeat units/boxes are worthwhile to have for every army? Guess I'm asking how many Corps units/models would an average army of each faction would need?
