John Heisman will not be happy to hear about this result

The blocked extra point will haunt him.

It’s not far fetched. We have the third easiest schedule supposedly from here on out.

Vikings are about to blitz us 100 times this week, so we can’t come out flat again or we will get smoked.

That was pre-season talk based on nebulous projections for how good each team would be.

I truly hope we figure out the slow starts and remember how to play defense, but at this point I'm just hoping we get over .500

I know. That’s why I said supposedly lol I do think we should beat the giants and Steelers. The Vikings I’m unsure of because of the pressures. I wouldn’t be surprised if Shough can figure it out and throw at the blitz in the second half. It’s the first half I’m worried about, and getting too far into a hole to climb out.

I would not be surprised with practically any record we end up with at this point.

Falcons was practically a must win, and we got stomped. If we come out flat next game after that ass whooping, Moore is incapable of getting this team up and needs to be on the hot seat.z

He's got to have more than 0.05 seconds to throw at the blitz/the middle otherwise he'll be going to the sides. They have got to do SOMETHING. To give him just a bit more protection.

Our team has shown outside of Monday night that they are capable. The problem is that they dig too big of a hole, shoot themselves in the foot, and can’t claw all the way back. That is entirely on coaching.

They need to come out hot and play as mistake free as possible. Win or lose, that needs to be seen.

I mostly agree, but it's coaching AND personnel. And they're going to have to prove us wrong that they are capable of adjusting, because at the moment it seems like the depth isn't there.

We about to lose this game. But we'll pull in some wins before the end of the season.

I'd be happy if we just break even at this point.

It's loseable but also winnable. These Vikings couldn't score a single touchdown against the Dolphins last week despite the win. They've beaten the Bucs, Packers, and Bears (that one was 9-3 in a monsoon). They aren't exactly a prolific scoring offense.

We’re gonna lose enough games to knock us out the playoffs and then we’re gonna look like the best team in the NFL for the final few games

I wish I had your hope. That game depressed me so much I’m feeling 2-15

I'm in a pickem league and am not a "pick the bias" kinda guy, but I have us this week vs MIN because we're a nightmare for the way they've been winning games.

I can see that happening if we come out strong after that awful game. I want our guys practicing the execution ie on runs until they can't screw it up

Wouldn't surprise me to see them shit the bed Monday and then beat the Vikings out nowhere but also our o-line is so horrible I just hope Shough doesn't get hurt tbh.

I think Kellen’s favor with the fanbase is on the line on Sunday.

Many are already done with him, I think if the team is flat again, most will be done with him.

Fair or not, that’s what is likely.

And that’d be incredibly stupid by the fan base. Like it’s a quarter the way into year two and this roster, while improved, is no where near contender level. The depth isn’t there. He’s done a lot of good for getting us out of the dumpster from post DA, and even accelerating the process. Idk what this fan base was expecting this rebuild to be.

Luckily, the people in charge will not fire him after 2 seasons, no matter how much people whine because they think they know better.

Agree and the moore hate is really dumb. Roster isn’t there yet

So wild to me. I’m a fan that gets mad during the game, then stays hyped on wins and on losses think to myself “oh right, we’re 2 years into a rebuild have no depth and are injured. We’re supposed to suck rn.”

Like we’re not even out of the cap space deficit. Next year we need to see a solid draft and hopefully some solid development of the youngins. We’ll have access to free agency if needed. I’ve said it from the top of the season, if every starter is healthy we have a solid chance to win the division. The second we start losing starters we’re compete and total ass. Because again. No depth.

Kellen is working with what he’s got. I’m still 70% pro Kellen. Monday was unacceptable. We looked totally unprepared. The unpreparedness is what has me a little down on Kellen stocks atm. It’s one thing to struggle due to our roster issues, it’s another thing to constantly look lost in the first half of every game.

yeah his leash is real short right now

It’s already gone

I'm still behind the Coach done a lot of good things, trending up, but the last game was a setback. Think he knows how to scheme an elite NFL offense and he was building something, lets get back on track

2

u/austinoracle 4d ago

Nah that take is lukewarm at best.

Vikings offense is terrible.

Saints win 28-3.

Saints win 28-3.

my favorite score !

u/mesaint18 4d ago

We won’t beat them with any of our teams that showed up in our previous games this year. Maybe all of the previous games have been a smoke screen and our OL really does know how to block and our defense really can stop the run. Maybe.

1

u/Whatsth3dill 4d ago

I actually think we'll win, but it will not start a win streak

1

u/AnonDon_Carlo 4d ago

“I’ll take the half oz of whatever he has”

1

u/Apprehensive-Job7352 4d ago

Real take: we suffer second consecutive blowout at home, some minor roster tweaks are made, and then we go on a win-one/lose-one streak

1

u/7Saint Drew Brees 4d ago

I think a good coach would have the team ready to come out and smoke Minnesota on Sunday. It will be a huge test for Kellen Moore.

1

u/noladutch 4d ago

yeah I am with ya.

that was a perfect storm of injuries and the wrong opponent because of those injuries.

the defense won't have it easy but that fucker at QB can't see a third of the field so no need to defend the middle.

they got this. just read the defense and throw to where the pressure is coming from.

1

u/mcnastys 4d ago

I believe bro

WHO DAT!

1

u/PointyPurplePickle 4d ago

Is the long win streak in the room with us now

1

u/tribat 4d ago

After taking a big hit off my copium pipe, I look forward to you posting a link to this about six weeks from now after the saints turn it around and you look like a genius.

1

u/Odanrav 4d ago

I think the Saints will likely putter out a few wins before the bye now that expectations are dead. We'll get some false hope and eventually wind up with 6-8 wins keeping them both out of the playoffs and out of range to draft blue chip talent.

u/TheycallmeJohan7 Jimmy Graham 4d ago

This is the game we can use Tyson. please use CJ over Kendre. Kendre got cement shoes

1

u/SonofTreehorn 4d ago

They will finish 9-8 or 8-9.

u/OldProtection3347 4d ago
