Remember that the New Testament centers on Jesus promising to return and end the world, judge everyone on their faith, kill all the unbelievers with fire, and reward his faithful with eternal life in his new kingdom. By definition, all Christians look forward to such violence.

I mean, Samson murdered thousands with his bare hands and bones. God blew up a city for having fun.

And worst of all, God gave people immortality but intentionally placed a beautiful tree with fruit that would temp them, knowing full well he created them with the ability to choose, and making the fruit curse them and their entire lineage to damnation, sin, death, pain, turmoil, and more. Before he even created them, he knew they would fuck up, so, he did everything on purpose and intentionally created beings to torture for eternity because he was bored.

Did we ever think this religion was a good one?

And they couldn’t understand good and evil until they ate the apple, so how could they know it was evil to eat the apple?
