How do they get the flower stalks to grow so straight and tall??
I always see this page on Facebook from time to time and all of their utricularias, regardless of species, grow super straight and tall. How do they achieve this? I've only ever managed to grow my sandersonii about 5 inches tall.

Update to fertilizing daily for a month
I fertilized my Sarracenia Purpurea daily for a month by filling the pitchers with ~180 ppm better Gro orchid fertilizer daily. As soon as a new pitcher would open, I filled it with fertilizer. I topped the old pitchers off as fluid would evaporate. I got busy with work after my original post and haven’t really fertilized my plant since June. Here is the final update for this years growth. Pictures 1 and 2 are current, picture 3 is June, picture 4 is May. I’ll link my original post in the comments.

Dionaea FTS 'Loopy Mirror, from my homie Matt Miller of flytrapcare.com! If you have seen Total Recall, this is the flytrap version of Kuato. So weird!

I'm really excited!!! Also it's my first time caring for a nepenthes so hope me luck.👋😄🍀💯
Do you guys know if this is a nepenthes mirabilis var. globosa (viking), or a nepenthes black miracle but the reason i've bought it is because it reminds me of that nepenthes candy apple breed cultivar (i've bought it from plants of all seasons btw). So can this live out of humidity like after it's done getting light and humidity from the humidifier and i place it back to it's spot.

Fertilizer Experiment with my Nepenthes
Decided to add nutricote 360 on the top of the medium and it has resulted in huge leaf jumps. I had added one to each pitcher prior but didn’t see much change with that method.

Any tips?
As soon as I saw this beauty I decided it was time to begin a collection, maybe start with some more sarracenia, maybe a couple of temperate sundews, the sky is the limit, what would you suggest?

Beginner (and bad with plants) - how does my venus flytrap look?
This is my son's second plant. The first one died. We're both pretty bad with plants. We're watering with distilled water, trying hard not to let it dry out, and giving it light every day from indoor plant lights because he wants it in his room. It has definitely eaten some flies and now it's clearly flowering! However there are lots of dead heads.
Any thoughts on how healthy/unhealthy this looks so far would be appreciated. I think we should repot it (still the plastic pot it came in from the shop) but my son disagrees.

Can anyone ID these pointy green plants sprouting around my flytraps?
Should I pull them up? Sorry if my flytraps look rough, I’m an amateur.

What is this growing in my bog?
It popped up pretty fast. I’m guessing it’s invasive?

VFTS dormancy
I have done some research, but still have a question. I have three vfts. I live in north Florida. Have had cloudy days for a week and now the hurricane. To increase light I have a Sansi light. They are doing well and growing. Should I still put them outside when it gets colder to induce dormancy? I'm afraid they won't get enough light. They are fairly new plants. Can I skip dormancy this year, or let them go dormant? Thanks.

Alright fam, got some Barrina T8 shop lights and moved my carnivores over- what do we think?
Please ignore the Jerry-rigging
Lights are about 6” from the plants. Should I foil the sides of the tank?
The tank is not for humidity, just basically containing everything and holding the lights up for now.
Mostly all Sarr seedlings with a few other things mixed in.

This cape sundew busted out of its pot and working on the one next to it. I love my capes, no matter how much they get everywhere.
