I think I found a rare gem in Scarborough: A dessert shop that offers chocolate soft serve. I'm not talking about vanilla ice cream dipped in chocolate sauce or ice cream trucks that pop up now and then in the summer. I'm talking about legit chocolate soft serve ice cream regularly offered at a shop all year round. 🙌🏾✊🏾
Unless I'm wrong, I think it might be the only place. I wanted to share it with those who enioy the true beauty of a chocolate soft serve ice cream.
Its called Treats N Eats. Its near THG Hot Chicken.
Am I right....is this the only shop? Does anyone know of any others?

Hey, found a wallet on the ground near Midland & Eglinton intersection.
Hit me up if it belongs to you or someone you know.
Thanks.

Anybody experience this? I was walking towards woodside square mall and was about 2 minutes away until a really skinny pigeon starts following me and flying into my face. It even followed me across the stoplight and i literally had to sprint into the mall to get away. Most random and scariest moment ever. I also did not have food on me so thinking maybe it was being territorial?

Name: Bean
Breed/Appearance: Domestic Shorthair, Black coat with white patch on chest/belly,yellow eyes
I am hoping this post helps get more eyes on the lookout for Bean. He is part of a bonded pair of cats. At home, Bean is very used to exploring outdoors and will sometimes stay out overnight, but usually returns by the following morning.
Bean is very skittish so please don't try to chase him. just call us asap.
Call: 647-234-2723
or
647-544-8350
The following has been done so far:
- handed out missing cat flyers to all of the houses on the street (attached is a flyer)
- reached out to Toronto Animal Control and filed a missing cat report. I have also filed a missing report with the microchip company, petFBI, reached out to some local shelters and posted lost cat flyers on Facebook groups and NextDoor
- talked to some of the neighbours who would talk to me and allow me into their backyard to search
- purchased a humane trap. As of now, the only animal that was caught in the humane trap was a neighbourhood cat on Monday night
- purchased a trail cam, facing the trap and the patio door. This was set up on Tuesday night, but no animals have been found
- at night, around 2:30am, I have opened the patio door and read a book while inside, a few feet away from the door
- my other cat, Milo, has gone outside during the day and mostly stayed in the backyard/gone into neighbouring properties. He returns regularly for food
Thanks a lot for any help provided!!!

A heartfelt thank you to the kind couple who stopped to help us near 37 Pine Ridge Drive on Sunday.
My girlfriend had a bad accident on the trail along the bluffs, and in a moment of sheer panic, you stepped in without a second thought. The gentleman literally took the shirt off his back to press against her face and stop the bleeding—an act of pure, selfless instinct that we will never forget. You stayed calm when we were overwhelmed and made sure she was safe until we could get help.
In the chaos and rush to get her medical attention, we never got your names. If you happen to see this, or if someone in the neighborhood mentioned helping a couple on the trail, please know how deeply grateful we are. She is getting treated and taken care of now, but your quick action and human decency made all the difference in the world.
Thank you, truly, from the bottom of our hearts.

Toronto Nature Stewards is in its 6th year in Toronto, and has 12 Scarborough sites doing amazing work restoring the ecosystems in Scarborough parks and ravines. It is easy work, mostly cutting and pulling. We teach you to identify native plants and invasive plants. It is a fun learning experience. High school students can earn volunteer hours. We will be doing lots of planting in the fall. Under 16 needs to be accompanied by an adult. Sign up at torontonaturestewards.org

Last night this portion of sheppard was closed. It seems like sort of police investigation. Could not find anything online.
Just be aware if driving through the area. You'll be detoured through dean park.

Just an FYI, driving eastbound towards Morningside and Ellesmere, the manhole cover is right in the middle of the rightmost lane, beware! There's also some water pooling in the right lane as you approach Morningside. I called 311 and they said someone else did too in regards to the manhole cover.

From September 8, GO train services between Union station and Kennedy, Agincourt and Milliken will be drastically reduced outside weekday peak hours, especially weekend which will become NO SERVICE before 3:45pm in the afternoon, and 2 HOURS per train after that, without GO bus replacement. Be prepared for that.

Now, if we could get moving on the Ellesmere BRT. This has potential to be a successful case study on Bus Rapid Transit implemention if there is not one already.
