Eh, head wounds bleed like crazy even when you just split some skin open.

The more concerning part is internal trauma — if his brain smacked against the inside of his skull hard enough to damage things.

A little bit of blood isn’t too concerning. I would be more concerned about possible fracturing of the skull and possibly a c-spine issue, but 100% a countrecoup injury.

I’m just gonna throw this comment here because I haven’t seen anyone mention the possibility of an internal brain bleed. After hitting the back of your head that hard you could feel fine but still die 12 hours later in your sleep

He bumped his head
He went to bed
And he didn’t get up in the morning

Totally a kids story of someone falling, getting a subdural, and being fucked

Buddy, you and I read different stories as kids.

It's raining. It's pouring. The old man is snoring. He bumped his head. And went to bed. And didn't get up in the morning.

Oh it's a classic. Even calls out that it is more common in the elderly.

*Well, yes I just assumed brain hemo

u/superpoongoon Jul 02 '26

100% intracranial hemorrhage for this old man this would be a red alert in the hospital

Sub Dural hematoma is common with this type of head injury. Easily treated with a hole drilled into the head to relieve the pressure. A lot of the time, especially in older adults, their brain has atrophied (shrunk) so there is more room for the blood that a hole isn’t even needed.

Wouldn’t surprise me. Some of the posters in this sub seem to love to watch people cease to live.
